Propane water heater. The two brass ones. I’ve tried 1/2” FIP and it barely threads on. It’s not npt as I checked with my caliper and it’s not tapered. Luckily the instructions have zero mention of any thread sizes etc.

Looks like NPS or BSP(S)?

You should be able to measure the OD and look online for a conversion chart.

IPS is my bet.

IPS is Iron Pipe Straight thread. It's meant to seal on a washer (like the threads the hose for your toilet or faucets attach to). NPT is a tapered thread, designed to seal on the threads, which is why you put pipe tape on them - to lubricate them and help the threads deform and create a seal.Jan 15, 2017

Are we looking at a portable propane water heater? If so, neither of those fittings are garden hose BUT they can be converted easily.

Edit:
I just pulled these from my photo album of the bar trailer. I’ll have to dig through my build notes to get you the specific fitting part numbers however I won’t have access to them until Monday. I did source the fittings from Home Depot if that’s any solace.

that’s what it is. I’m testing putting together a water heater for a friends “cabin” out in the desert. Before I’m 50 miles in the middle of nowhere I wanted to make sure it worked and had no leaks. These things are sweet. Battery powered they turn on automatically with water flow. I’m getting 140* out of the hose at full and 120 at low.

As far as the fittings I grabbed a bunch and these threaded on but only one side had the washer for the garden hose. I tried Teflon tape and it seems to be working. I’ll just use more tape and crank em when I get out there.

The two lines look hose thread. The brass fitting to the left is a flare. The steel line looks like a washing machine hose.

The braided line looks like 3/8s. https://www.lowes.com/pd/B-K-3-4-in-Threaded-Barb-x-Garden-Hose-Adapter-Fitting/1000504797
