What is with all these idiots that do not know the simple rules or courtesy of boating on water ways or lakes. So far Today 3 different IDIOTS that should not be allowed to own boats were drifting down river and headed for our Dock, all 3 got so close to the Dock I said to myself here we go he is going to hit it... 1 idiot had to kick off and push away from our dock at the bow of his boat while 5 or 6 lazy idiots in the boat just sat there and watched, and YES I did go out on the porch and Yell YOU FKNG IDIOT! the other 2 idiot boaters had to jump into the driver seats and in panic start their boats and back off in a rush, both got within 2-4 feet of smashing the north side of our dock. (different times of the day). Why do these IDIOTS wait until the last second to pull away from a dock just tells me they are TOTAL IDIOTS!. I think I may invite a guest to hang out at our dock this weekend lol.

People are terrible at driving a car... when there are lanes, arrows, shit written on the road, signs, colored lights, limit lines, etc. There is so much help/safety items on the roads that people don't pay attention much.

Now take of those non-active/non-defensive drivers and all of a sudden boating looks fun to them. Problem is... boating on a river or lake (sometimes the ocean) is a very active situation. No lanes, lines, signs, lights, no anything. These people treat it with the same lack of attention they do when driving a car.

Plenty more choices than 2.... I already thought of removing the dock and even have a buyer if I want to sell it and all would fine, but I think there are other ways to deter idiots that have no respect for others properties or have no clue how to drive boats...... :)

Can you just throw a decent security camera facing your dock? Shouldn’t be too hard to grab registration numbers if someone smacked your dock.

Exactly what we are going to do, I dont care if they smash their boat or hurt themselves on a ski if they are idiots they deserve it, but I hate having nice things and some idiot damaging it. At least with the sec cam getting registration would help track them down.

Drop a big orange buoy about 5-10 feet out past your dock. Will work wonders.

I wonder what would happen if you put a row of those giant orange salmon egg buoys along the dock like the ones commercial fisherman use?
Do you think they'd see them and be like, "Cool, we'll just bounce off that dock" . . . . ? . . . . . errr . . oh wait, they'd probably just tie-off to it !!!!! 😆😅😂🤣

People will fuck up his dock no matter what especially pontoon boats! Most Toon drivers just don't give a fuck about your dock, pirates dock or any old dock all they care about is making their dick look bigger! Please remember that I said most not all toon dudes.
