1st time in 20 years (with the exception of a required appearance at a cousin's wedding ) that we haven't been at the river on Memorial Day. Had a great weekend at home with good friends and just really enjoyed relaxing and not dealing with the BS.

It was open this weekend, ( i didnt go down there) along with the river willow steak house. There was a band or dj down there Saturday and they had a fireworks show to "kick off" summer.

Place seemed pretty back to normal, except still no smoking in the casino.

Tonight there was a little window.
Trip out on this . . . during winter the sun was setting behind Catalina . . . now it goes down behind the Port of LA.
Trippy.

This was tonight . . . no lens filters or computer tweaks . . . just hand held with a 400mm lens . . . which pulls the sun in a bit.

Not wood at all. It’s an old Kona. Grew up in the boat. My grandfather bought it in 83 and it’s been few a few Old motors. When he passed I couldn’t see it leaving the family. Not the fastest boat nor the cleanest or the coolest… but getting to do the same thing with my boys is a just something wild….

Great day on the water. Went up to Topock for lunch. Had @HNL2LHC and his family join us for the day, which is always awesome. Met up with @ArizonaKevin and his family. If my wife didn’t want grandkids (like yesterday) before, she does now. .

Northern MI. 3 blocks of the lake. Boat launch and the beach are all there. But it was a successful outing! No tears and the boat preformed pretty well!
