Lived in AZ 15 years, moved and had to come back to visit the Grand Canyon. Amazing place. Took 64 east when leaving and turned out to be a great drive.

Buzzed to Show Low and headed south. Motorcycle riders wet dream of a road. Lots of curves.
266 miles, temps pretty much stayed at 70.
Tomorrow back to Surprise for the weekend.

I was peppered with that cold rain for 10 minutes. Taken on hwy 260 on the southern end of Camp Verde.

Temps from 42 at 7000 feet to 92 in Surprise and 266 miles. Coming down out of Jerome on such a narrow road was a blast.
Last 2 days of riding.

Glad you enjoy. The Pima museum had over 400 aircraft. We spent 2.5 hours but could easily stay all day. Knowing we have pilots here I was hoping to give them some cool reading.

Today heading to CA. I was not looking forward to this ride on the 40. Turned out to be an excellent day, no craziness with 300 miles and temps between 62-78. I was hoping to take nine mile canyon road tomorrow but according to this sign it's a no go.

Started from Ridgecrest yesterday toward Lake Isabella.

Isabella to Springville is motorcycle paradise.
Runs along the Kern River for about 10 miles.

The road was rough and narrow to the top. Turned right toward Springville.

This was a much improved road. Its very evident a fire rolled thru. Several crews working to harvest logs.

From Springville I had plans to loop thru Sequoia National Park. It's a 3 hour loop and having plans at 1900 I put those plans on hold. Maybe when leave Fresno I can fit the ride in.

So yesterday's ride was 290 miles with temps between 64 and 94.

115 mile ride today with my daughter, her partner and several friends. Passed thru North Fork and around Bass Lake. Also stopped at Chuckchansi Casino for several hours. Broke even.

Well done so far .....dang it I'm a little jealous. Nothing better than a solo MC ride. Truly nothing else like it.

Toured Sequoia National Park today. Entered on the north side which is the Big Stumb gate. Traffic was very lite at 0900. Beautiful scenery, curvy roads and big trees. About 75% thru traffic from the south really picked up. To complete the loop I took 245 north to hookup with 180 again. 245 is a great MC road, no traffic and a very curvy road. Total milage 211, temps 49-84.
