Dam one side of me is saying sell all of your Palantir and buy it back in a few weeks. The other half is saying keep it. We will hit 130 after hours.
If there are capital gains tax on the proceeds, then I dont think its worth the risk, if your planning to long term hold it.

If there are no capital gains tax’s, then it may be worth it… but my imediate question is how accurate is your crystal ball.

Question for the trade pros. So I have been buying and selling on Schwab and what kills me is when I set my limits to sell and if the stocks drop below that number but it’s after hours it wont sell since its after hours or pre market, and if I’m not right on it I take a bath lol. The question is if I move to Robin Hood it looks like it will sell anytime I have the stop limits turned on so it doesn’t go way down. Is there any other way to protect the down side on big pull backs ?

You have to take a deep dive in to the “settings” of the trade.
Some platforms have scroll boxs, that make you chose the conditions of the trade…. Market, good till cancelled, etc etc etc.
If you dont have after/pre market selected, then no trade takes place.

Schwab may not offer limit trades pre or post market hours.

I honestly dont know.

What's everyone's thoughts on the week. Pretty flat today.

Fed meeting coming up and i don't think they are lowering the rate. Is that baked in or do you think that could spook the market?

I think no change with a lowering in summer will continue a rally (assuming earnings go ok for the next 2-3 days). Rate hike (3-5% chance) would cause a sell off. Practically a zero percent chance they lower rates. No idea what that would do lol.

I have a feeling Trump will release deals and try to put any economic blame on the FED.

The FED’s forecast is what will move the market. Not necessarily the rate decision. Hopefully Jerome doesn’t say anything too wild.

Market will move a bit green when we get a trade deal with either EU, or India

It will move a whole lot green when we get a deal with China.

Until then… meaning tariff threats go away, plan for over reactions to anything negative. Which is why its a dream market for day traders.

Due to the fact the Fed is not a fan of Trump, they will exaggerate the negative any chance they get. Fed is meeting this week, so expect some red days.

I don't think they raise rates.

Sounds like a flattish week unless some kind of tariff tweet gets released.

Based upon the recent economic releases, and especially the job numbers, there is no basis in data for a rate cut.

Damn good numbers. Shot up for a second, now red. If it stays anywhere in the 100’s I’m happy.

Should stay in this range this week to burn the put and call premiums in my opinion. Will start going up next week depending on the market.

As I mentioned…. Their PE ratio is 650 ish… what kind of ###’s do they report to justify that. If you look at my prior post, I expected a pull back.
Yes totally agree, they have been high all along this rip so why the big dip now ? Has it basically become a meme stock ? I’m sure it will rip again shortly just like invidia does

IMHO
PLTR is being driven up by retail peeps like us. Not by wall street.

Retail peeps - see the long term potential of PLTR, more than Wall Street, hence the high valuation and volatility.

But what do I know?

You had to know… Pre earnings priced in, everybody on pause, hovering on the sell market price button.👇
It’ll be back on the next tweet

Exactly every time I have tried to time it, I have screwed up riding the wave has worked out better.
Every time you sell something, someone is buying it. Purely from a price perspective, one is going to be right, and one is going to be wrong.

Berkshire Hathaway has dropped more than 50 percent twice in my life, yet holding it long term was proven the right call. May or may not be in the future, who knows.

They do offer Pre and Post trading, I think it is roughly a few hours prior or after. When you are placing your order it is under TIMING box, Extended Hours AM or Extended Hours PM

Take Two Interactive might be a good buy. Rockstar games (who they own) just released that GTA 6 has been pushed to release in May 2026. As soon as a new trailer or screenshots come out Take Two’s stock will shoot back up. GTA 6 is set to be the biggest entertainment release ever with sales estimated in the billions.

I should have taken my own advice, screenshots and new trailer were released today.

Come on RDP. Someone on here’s wife’s cousins girlfriend is married to a C suite guy at AMD and knows they just ordered a new yacht, or put the Aspen house up for sale?

I think the FED is not going to cut rates so it may already be built into the market, if for some reason the politically bias Idiot Powell does come to his senses and lowers rates (hopefully) the market will BOOM after hours and the rest of the week.

He talks at 11am so it's during the market.
