… I was in a boat in the late 80’s where …a friend of mine’s son was attempting to do the barefoot thing …which they said he could do all the time… I’m not too sure I ever saw him pull it off… I have been in contact with him lately… I should ask him if he’s still barefoots it… he is now 54
… I sort of get it. The water is like glass…take your back foot out of the binding on a single ski… Get your balance …drop the ski completely and go gliding across the water…maybe

My brother used to ski barefoot all the time. Wasn't a big deal for him. I think a lot of people do

Barefooting isn't a problem, It's the face plant if you crash.

Last time I skied was at 50, single, deep water start. Took everything out of me getting up, and was sore the next couple days.
I gave up golf and waterskiing that year.
