I’m gonna have a hell of a time trying to sleep tonight.🤣
It’s been a while since I had one in the house, I’m wondering if it hitchhiked on one of the dogs😳
Part of living out where ya do. They can hitchhike on pets for sure. I turned my house in BHC into a damn toxic waste site trying to get rid of all the scorpions....lol

Now....I see them every once in a while in TX but not in the house.

Buy this and bomb the house. It works fantastic. Just stay out of the house for 24 hours.

Definitely part of living out here, just caught me off guard. I haven’t had one in or around the house in a long time, my guess is the recent rain got them up and active. I’m surprised I haven’t been stung by one yet, I walk around on my patio, barefoot in the dark all the time.🤣

I always have flip flops on.....even in the house....lol

If you are allergic to bee stings you need to be careful.....other than that unless a bark scorpion it should just effect you like a bee sting.

After using that stuff I posted the link to the only bugs I find in home are dead but don't really find many at all. I did not have access or know about the tablets when I lived in BHC. Its time for me to do the bombing again. I also am going to drop the tablets in my water storage tank. The friggin stuff is amazing and is not harmful to pets or humans as long as you let it air out properly. I posted a thread on using the tablets for eliminating odors and bugs when I bought this place out in TX. Took all the smoke smell out from the previous owner. Amazing stuff

I just ordered 10 more packs of the Sarafax tabs. All of them are the same thing by the way. For marketing purposes they use different packaging. I order the Odor ones but it is all the same according to the last order I placed and the person I talked to last year.

I have 3 pest control services and have been pretty lucky to not have much of a pest problem. 1 service is an bug control company and the other is 2 cats. When the cats sit and stare at an area for an extended time I avoid that area.

Update: does anyone need a slightly pissed off scorpion? Apparently, the carburetor cleaner, I squirted him with last night only pissed him off.🤣

I guarantee we'd see a lot more of these & other creepy crawlies if we walked on all fours too. Not sure if we'd bark.....but there is that possibility😁😂😎

Had one in the house and couple weeks ago, stepped on it in the middle of the night barefoot...

I crunched like a potato chip, my first thought was the damn kids were eating snacks in the hallway again

Amazon packages left at the front door, and brought in.

If you hear crickets, you have Scorpions. 😉
I get my house sprayed monthly for bugs but shit happens, my guess is it came in through the garage door. When the weather is nice, I leave my house pretty wide open.

I’m not that worried about it, I think the recent rain just changed up their routine a bit.

I am waiting for the neighborhood road runners to come hunting through and give them a snack🤣
I've been stung over a dozen times over my life. Always on my hands. Never had one sting my foot.

It takes about 4 hours for sting to go away, but is manageable for most teens and adults to get through. First time it happen, work sent me to ER to get checked out. ER filled a rubber glove with crushed ice and told me the pain will go away in 2-4 hours. It did. 😉

I’m thinking of leaving it as a gift for a neighbor I don’t get along with.😁

I had sandals on when I stepped on the bark scorp down at the springs. That tail comes at you from above and he got me right on the toe. I didn't kill him and when I pulled my foot up he ran off.

Anyway that set my leg on fire and my foot was like pins and needles x1000 for most of the weekend. Could barely put a sock or shoe on. I was told to just take Advil and ice it.

I almost punched my screen... warning next time

We used to spray black widows with spray adhesive then light them on fire. Much nicer than I treat scorpions

Well I spoke too damn soon...

I was getting out of the shower this morning and my mom was over at my house watching my 10 month old...

She starts screaming blood murder, I came hauling ass around the corner to see a scorpion hanging on her pant leg and my son crying with a fresh sting wound...

I un-alived that damn thing real quick, cleaned my sons wound, iced it and gave him tylenol...

Problem is that the wife was just boarding a plane to Montana with my 5 year old son when it happened...

That phone call sucked!!!

...Then proceeded to spend the next few hours in the ER while my son was under observation. He ended up doing just fine, and is back snoozing in his nursery.

For what it's worth, Havasu ER did a damn fine job, even right down to one of our own inmates here has a daughter who is a prominent figure at the hospital and she even came down to check on my son.

Overall, I cant complain, busy day but all is well.

Sucks to read this, but I’m glad to see your son. Seems pretty much unfazed at this point.😊

That was probably more traumatizing for grandma than anyone else.

Yeah I've already ordered some black light/UV flashlights for her so she can check around the house for her own piece of mind

Lol that was our nightly ritual before bed from April to late November in TX. Get the black lights out and make sure nothing was lurking. Especially in the bed. Weekly was checking/changing sticky traps at all entrances.

Tools of the trade, big inexpensive black light (same one in the previous post) & a handheld trigger activated scorpion bbq'er!!!

But be warned, don't go in your bathroom with the black light, you will walk out and fire your maid on the spot. I'm proud to say, my bathrooms are black light clean, now. lol
