The new Dust extractor showed up today. I was happy with the M18 vacuum but when I got a cnc machine the changing batteries all the time got a little annoying especially when they died middle of a project , and being able to be plugged into ac power is awesome. and since its packout I can put the dust separator on top of it. when I want to use it in another location just pop in a couple of batteries and off I go,.

What a difference over the larger M18 vacuum I have.
It definitely flows more volume

The only annoying part I have found so far is the hose connection is completely different than all the other Milwaukee vacuums so it took some jerry rigging to make it compatible with my other Milwaukee stuff

I am really starting to understand why so many you tubers make such a big deal about dust collection in a workshop it's unbelievable how much dust you can have from even a smalll project.
This weekend ill hook it up to the table saw to see if it makes a big difference

In a lifetime of using Vacs on the job that's a problem I've always come across..

Damn, that's a lot of Milwaukee. I thought it was a tool aisle at Home Depot. Nice!

Will it make a bumig difference? Yes!

Will it completely eliminate the mess?

Not a chance, you'll still have to clean up when you're done!

Dan I could see this in your workspace in the near future. When I was doing a lot of wood working in my garage years ago I ducted something like this through out my work stations. It was a game changer on dust collection.

Totally agree it won't eliminate the mess, thats just not possible with any system. it also has a bluetooth remote to turn on and off so that will be awesome when its not right next to the tool i'm using

I just picked up a Milwaukee tire inflator m18.

HOLY SHIT! Set it to the psi you need, hit start and walk away until it shuts off. Unreal how I haven't had one of these in all these F'n years!!!!!

They are a game changer! I had a very expensive Viair and this blows it away.

I really considered do something along those lines i just don't have any space. plus the roof in the barn is only 7' so ducting is out of the question.
If this lawsuit ever settles and i have some money again I'll build a big garage and then I'll probably go with a real system.

What would be even better would be a voice activated smart plug.

"Hey Google, turn on (or off) the shop vac".

No hands required. 👍🏼

I can strongly suggest getting a dust deputy https://www.amazon.com/Oneida-Air-Systems-Separator-Collapse-Proof/dp/B0B4PSSFSN/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?

And putting it inline between the source and the vacuum. It will draw out most of the crap before it clogs the vac filter.

I was cleaning the filter on one of my blast cabinet dust collectors every 2 cycles or so....since I added this thing, I haven't needed to clean it in 6 months. After having seen what it does, I'd have no problem paying double for it.
