Ok, so.

I’m usually smarter than this, but I can’t figure this one out.

My quick disconnect Bimini mount lost its nuts.. I can relate..

They’re through bolted with nuts on the underside..

I need to get that interior side panel off in order to get up there and get a nut on the bolts.

How the hell do these panels come off? I can tell they’re bolted in, so I don’t want to start prying like a car door panel. If I can get the speakers / fiberglass cup holder pocket thingy out, I can get up there.

I also can’t tell how to get that seat out. 😂

Thanks in advance and I’m sorry I’m so stupid. 🤓😒

I am no help other than call Eliminator and ask them. Or if its in havasu run it over to or call Dane at D1 he used to work at eliminator and maybe can tell you how real quick.

Thank you

I’m going to assume you need to at least pull the speaker and feel around I’m sure that panel has nuts all across the top

Hell my arms are long enough to reach through the speaker hole.. 🤔🤔

Oh Man, I have been going thru this on my boat. You gotta get creative and take out cupholders and speakers and feel around the backside for a nut from the carriage bolts.

A camera scope helps a ton!

It looks to me like the grills on the speakers can be removed with a Phillips screwdriver, and most likely the screws holding the speaker in are underneath the grill. Can’t tell without a better picture of the speaker.
Yes the screws on the cover come off then 4 speaker screws go through the fiberglass into c clips that are on both sides of the fiberglass speaker hole. He will get it in seconds. The clips that the screws go into don’t come off they’re pretty solid on there.

If you arms don't reach, maybe use a extension with the nut taped on and try and catch the bolt that will be screwed in. 🤷‍♂️

You need 2 threads past those nuts

I’ll copy what you said earlier and agree to pull the speaker. It sets in from the front and should only have 4 screws holding it in. Much easier then removing the panel

My guess is eliminator -

installed the Bimini mounts 1st
then ran the wires
then ran the gray inner liner
then connected the light wires

then layered / stacked everything out on top of it….
you’ll have to un stack / un layer everything to get to the bare hull to access the bolts

what a pain in the butt for something so simple

You could also cut up a wire coat hanger straighten it out and drop it down thru the hole, poke a small hole thru the gray fabric

get some big fender washers and just bolt it back thru the fabric….

Basically -
ask the laziest guy to get the most simple fix !

lol

In a lot of cases to remove side panels, you have to start at the back, engine area and remove panels on the way forward. However, I would just remove that speaker. Use your phone and snap a couple photos of the backside on the Bimini mount and you should see what you need to do. Good luck and take your time.

When you pull the speaker, stick your phone in and take a picture. It can give you an idea of what you're up against when you try the braille method. As for the socket and nut, put a piece of tape or plastic over the opening, and press the nut into it. And dropping tools in the bilge isn't so bad...you can fish them out with magnets. Now, stainless, expensive, marine stuff? Yep, that sucks.

Time to upgrade?
You can use a light and an inspection mirror, but people may not have a big dentist mirror.

By the way, we are all on here to keep you from writing tickets...end of shift diversion. All you F'rs speeding and passing 50 cars, we accept beer and pizza as payment.

Just looking at the picture it seems accessible from the speaker hole. Some interiors, depending on the builder allow for the cup holding insert to be removed and it makes a bigger opening to work through

That side has a 120 outlet in the top of it so it’s probably not coming out. 😳
