So, the rumor going around in the industry is that Extreme Trailers closed the doors and went out of business. That is NOT true! Lippert Components has sold Extreme Trailers to another privately owned trailer manufacture out of Oregon who has many years of fabrication experience. Production has already started for some of the well-known manufactures & Dealers that have stayed with Extreme throughout the years and have had strong, long-term relationships with. They will continue to set the bar and manufacture trailers for the Performance, Pontoon & the Ski Boat market like they always have but with many improvements.

There is also a really good possibility that there will be a Service & Repair facility opening up in the Southern California/Inland Empire area very soon to take care of all makes of Boat, PWC, Flatbed & Equipment trailer needs including complete refurbishing & modifications. Stay tuned!

Do they sell to the public? If so what’s the number?

Do you work for them?

Extreme Custom Trailers used to be a good manufacturer in OC. The guy that I dealt with on mine, I believe his name was Fritz, dealt fairly with me And stood behind his work. Now that Lippert bought them out, not impressed at all based on their many products installed on my 2020 travel trailer.

I was pretty impressed with my pontoon trailer.. 10k. For it in 2020..

By comparison local trailer mfg was like 26!

I took it to a shop and had lights and electric jack and a step welded on it and it damn bear cost me what the trailer cost.. lol

I talked to a guy Fritz at shadow trailers a couple years back. Maybe same guy?

Hi Tony.. been a while.

It’s a good thing Lippert sold Extreme. Lippert is crap. Just look up Grand Design frame flex for starters.

They purchased Furrion as well I believe. Big players in the RV junk world. Hopefully Extreme can earn its reputation back.

Tony was beyond helpful, matched paint color of trailer to wheels, worked with me to get the wheels I wanted fit, even let me take a torsion hub home to get the centerholes bored and some backspacing squared. No complaints here

I dont recall Extreme ever manufacturing in OC. If you dealt with Fritz, he is at Shadow (in Cypress and Havasu). Was great to work with and quality work.

Tony at Extreme did a trailer for us last year. The factory has been in Rialto with Lippert. I have not kept up with Tony for a few months but he is solid to his work and word. He has seen the company change names a few times. Whatever is changing, Im sure it will be good if he is still behind it.

I got one of the last trailers out of there for my 21 build. What I was told was one of the head guys is staying here in CA and opening his own shop and will be the service/warranty/repair guy here for Extreme here in SoCal and I think build one off trailers as needed for customers.

Ya know, I think you may be right on Shadow Trailers, not Extreme. My error. The place I was thinking of was in Cypress, not far from the college.

But I’m certain about Lippert quality. Deailng with power tongue jack issues at the moment. LOL.
