Well boys economy is golden. This place is packed wall to wall. Gonna get some tickets and let the kids ride some rides. First stop drinks for mom and dad.

That’s funny. 40 years ago my parents bought my sister and I rabbits from the fair. Mine was a first place winner!

Yes As a kid in elementary school we would get free tickets, and it was always blazing hot, I'm all about tradition, but moving it has been nice.

My son did that last year. $5 goldfish turned into a $120 fish the next day when I had to go to Petco for all the crap to keep it alive

Yes. It is because that is the end of the farming season. But I guess because this is SoCal . . . . maybe they don't show sheep and steers anymore.

It was honestly a great time we prefer the La county fair over oc. Because of the farm animals etc. more for the kids.

53 years ago it was our first date. We went to the fair for the next 50 years, haven't been is a while.

I was just more curious when they changed the date, I haven’t been to the LA County fair in over 40 years

My ranch-raised wife does. Every one of them and leaves fat donation checks at the FFA and 4H booths.
Antelope Valley Fair as well.

Cheap Trick is playing next Friday, if I didn't have tic's for Simple minds, I would go see them again. Always a great show.

I was a chaperone for many of my kids field trips to the fair and the amount of exhibits, displays and activities for kids to do is staggering. Truly they are the gems of the fair.

And yes in the goldfish, lol, currently 6" big and going on a dozen years. I tell the kid I'm ready to drop it into Lake Perris...but yeah....

I've only ben to the LA fair a couple of times. The mid-state fair in Paso Robles though....... damn I LOVE that fair! Always a great time!
