Well boys economy is golden. This place is packed wall to wall. Gonna get some tickets and let the kids ride some rides. First stop drinks for mom and dad.
It’s actually nice this year. I’m enjoying it so far. Aside from everything costing an arm and a leg but what doesn’t these days.Enjoy. Havent been in a few years and always enjoyed going with my family.
That’s funny. 40 years ago my parents bought my sister and I rabbits from the fair. Mine was a first place winner!Did you go look at 350 kinds of rabbits and 287 kinds of chickens?
My kids were more concerned with the cowsDid you go look at 350 kinds of rabbits and 287 kinds of chickens?
I remember going to the fair 15 years ago and getting a gold fish that would live for years and my parents pissed lolThat’s funny. 40 years ago my parents bought my sister and I rabbits from the fair. Mine was a first place winner!
Yes As a kid in elementary school we would get free tickets, and it was always blazing hot, I'm all about tradition, but moving it has been nice.Didn’t the fair used to happen in September October or maybe it was late August? When did this change?![]()
My son did that last year. $5 goldfish turned into a $120 fish the next day when I had to go to Petco for all the crap to keep it aliveMy kids were more concerned with the cows.

It was honestly a great time we prefer the La county fair over oc. Because of the farm animals etc. more for the kids.Headed that way with the little lady in about an hour or so. Looking forward to a 73f day and some cold ones.
We had one last 13 years. My kids were more concerned with the cows.

I was just more curious when they changed the date, I haven’t been to the LA County fair in over 40 yearsYes. It is because that is the end of the farming season. But I guess because this is SoCal . . . . maybe they don't show sheep and steers anymore.
My ranch-raised wife does. Every one of them and leaves fat donation checks at the FFA and 4H booths.Did you go look at 350 kinds of rabbits and 287 kinds of chickens?
I assume they changed it to keep the sheep safe from sub-humansYes. It is because that is the end of the farming season. But I guess because this is SoCal . . . . maybe they don't show sheep and steers anymore.
