Graduated HS in 85. The 80's were great especially growing up in SoCal. Cruising and street racing on Friday and Saturday nights. Racing motocross at all the tracks that existed back then. Hitting the drag strip at Carlsbad raceway. The river before the internet... It was a great decade!

84' here and I would also freeze the 80's as a decade.

That said, the 70's looked like a whole lotta fun, too. I know, "disco sucks", but damn, the older brother had a different hot chick every night of the week wearing those silk shirts and gold chains.

And for the record, disco didn't suck. 😁

Nice rides..

Thanks @WYRD. I've been very fortunate. Of those 4 rides, the one in the pink bikini might have been the most fun 😁 ;)
Not quite as reliable as the other 3 though 😜. Actually the 34th anniversary of the weekend I met her at Hussongs LHC.

Damn time flies !!

Have a great Memorial Day weekend

I used to be in Copper Canyon back in its heyday. Which of you other inmates were there? then the Sand Bar. Aye caramba

I lived through that era as well. Walked across the boat Island many of times.

It's funny you say that because here's some pictures of one of my helmets from when I used to race jet skis for a living LOL

Hussongs now that was the place to be but when the monsoons came in you had to swim the parking lot just to get back to your car hard to do when you're drunk. Talk about the good old days

Graduated in 81, I wish I had graduated a few years earlier to really enjoy the 80’s - all the small clubs to see the up and coming bands, The Plimsouls, The Go-Go’s, George Strait, Roseanne Cash, The Palomino, Madamme Wong’s. The cars companies were stating to figure out how get performance while being smog compliant - the IROC-Z’s, Corvettes, but the styles of most cars were pretty square and boring. I didn’t have a boat, but my friend’s parents did, and a place on the Parker Strip. Weekend afternoons at the Sundance dock was awesome with girls in boats flashing, the bikini contests. Getting up early for that glass water. Bluewater Casino wasn’t in yet, so there was no no-wake zone, and that whole area always had good water for the majority of the day. They still had the concrete grandstands and cabanas, the boat drags were always a blast. Husong’s in Havasu was always a good time.

I’d love to do that time period again with what I know now.

Probably be the decade where parents paid for everything, but you were old enough to drink but not 21 and of go and chase girls. So late 70's for me.

I always envision a Friday night in 1979 pulling up to the bar in a brand new dent side 4x4, nuthuggers on and a wad of cash in your pocket. That might be the best combo I can think of.

I’d also like to have been the 30 year old balling out of control in 2006 with a monstrous heloc and no fucks given lmfao

I would like to have been 30 years old in 2010 so I could be balling right now with my $1k mortgage payment and $800k in equity.

I had a neighbor from 2002ish to 2007ish that would hustle palm trees and wooden patio furniture. He was a bachelor lookin young dude riding around with a trailer full of queen palms all day. He had a badass dodge viper lmfao. That’s the 06 dream
