Friends ford had issues 11 1/2 hours later they arrived towing there big 5th wheel with the old 6.0 f350 with 700k miles on it. When the 6.7 couldn't.

Up in the Colorado mountains above Fort Collins for my wife's nieces wedding. Drove here from Sarasota. Stopped in TN where we had a lake house to see some friends. After here we go to Phoenix to see the grand kids. Then the long drive back to Sarasota.

Starting off memorial weekend with some drama. Robert complained of back pain yesterday. Well about 10 mins before we got in the truck today, I noticed he had a rash on his back. Did a video call and he has shingles…. Thought the trip was cancelled, but they prescribed an anti viral and some pain meds. She said he should be feeling better soon and being young should help.. No burning, just is complaining of a muscle pull pain so we will see how it goes this weekend. Doctor says it’s only contagious to people who have not had chicken pox and for him to stay in the shade if he feels up to boating.

Just got gas in the boat and will see how he feels about launching tomorrow. Might just extend our trip depending on how he feels.

I don’t have documented proof (@RiverDave) of being first, but I have been a supporter of this place through both sets of owners.

It’s the kind of casual place that’s easy to feel comfortable in.

Nothing exciting here, my dad is out visiting, staying off the lake this weekend and doing oil changes on the fleet

Robert update- he is feeling 75% better than he did on Thursday. We think because we caught it very early and his age, he’s fairing pretty ok. He mainly hurt when we hit bigger waves. We just out the trim tabs down and buried the drive. Made it a much better ride. He still says shingles sucks and the nerve pain can be unbearable at times
