Read some books by old timers, dry lakes guys of the late 30's. "Going like sixty" was a saying, moving, really hauling ass. When I was young, I didn't get it...my stock junk could do well over 100. When I got into older stuff, T's, A's and early V8's, that's when I realized how impressive it was. Going 45-50 in a banger, mechanical brakes and questionable spoked rims? New and interesting adrenaline rush!

I’m Ubering this morning in Castaic and there is this wakeboard boat with a man and woman in the boat. I thought well maybe they’re going to shell to get gas. Nope. Pass the shell and on the freeway Just shook my head with A WTF

Nope not yet. He’s okay with that right now though as he’s been super busy at work and moving.

Yeah. Dropped it off there the other week. Then hopefully get my trailer serviced as soon as I get it back. Gel for the beach rash will wait until the off season. Hopefully that will be my only offseason project this year

Go enjoy the boat before fixing the gel imo. But if you do plan to fix it. There’s a shop next to Menace marine that’s good.

No word from them yet. But carb tuning, drive service, checking out the gauges, and then find where I’m getting water from. Since I got it back I’ve ended up with about 2-3” of water in the bilge at the end of the day.

I’m definitely going to. The gel will be over winter. You talking about Poncho with At the Helm?

A guy from Flint started the project. My Fathers bought it and took it from a 2 door model A to the Speedster. His cancer came back and was no able to work on it. I finished it 2 weeks before he passed back in 2005. Surprised the hell out of him. It will do 72 mph. It’s not safe to drive over 35 mph. A blast to drive around. My Son Alan and his daughter luv to drive it around. I’m sure that puts a big smile on my Fathers face.

Yeppers. That Mustang was pretty sweet, had turbos.

I run with NASA - working my way into some type of racing, most likely TT (Time Trials) versus wheel-to-wheel. I don't want to bang my car up, and with aluminum frames on these cars, you can't really repair them.

Pitt Race in July, then NCM in October. I have a hard time making more that 3 events per year. Short boating season digs into the race weekends.

Just got home, had a great weekend even though the boat broke Saturday (alternator decided it was gonna turn into a BBQ.....)
Boat made it back to the dock, no big deal....everyone still had a great time!
