Loud pipes save lives lol and I want these out. I haven’t done much research but have any of you seen these before? They actually have a butterfly going through them. Do I just remove the butterfly valve and slide them out. Reinstall butterfly?

I’m doing this on the 9th. Remove everything and weld up the hole. Take the butterfly out.

Yes. It’s like a silencer when you flip the switch. My kid hit it when we were getting it. Thought I blew up the motor.

Ok yeah mine is identical. I was told they were for when you back up to stop from losading the exhaust possibly the engine with water 🤷‍♂️ never seen them before.

I’m never backing up into a wave. Boat is so quiet I hate it. When @HNL2LHC sent me his vid I was like that’s weakkkkkkk.

Is that Silent Choice or something different?
I put 90° turn downs on so at wake speed the tips are a few inches under water, at speed it's wide open.

No this butterfly obstructs the main flow and forces the exhaust around it in a perforated screen around it.

@69hondo if your gonna run a Bimini, make sure you try driving with the Bimini up, before you ditch the mufflers.

My bimini makes my exhaust sound insanely louder in the boat - maybe becuase my bimini is massive and extends over the rear hatch, and all the way forward over the dash. For whatever reason, it makes the interior loud as hell with exhaust sound.
I installed mufflers since we run with the bimini up most of the time. Without the Bimini it was fine without mufflers.

First thing my daughter told my wife when she found it. "mom you are going to have to live without a bimini, sorry"
No bimini on the Daytona. No mounts and no holes. dont think it ever had one.
We have a pretty big bimini on the Fundeck and it has lightning headers with no baffles. I dont notice a difference with the bimini up but maybe because the hull extends past 🤷‍♂️

Maybe eventually get the wife one of those umbrellas when we are some where hanging out in the boats. I think they are calle "Boat Brella" anyone have one?

My boat is obnoxiously loud with the bimini up but I just deal with it. My exhaust goes out the side of the sponsons, it had metal internal flappers but they eventually wore out and broke off a few years ago. Outlets are high enough I don't think I need to worry about water intrusion into the engine so I just left them off.
