Went to Eliminator this morning.
As is par for the course, the Monday after DS, there’s nothing prepped for me to work on.
I’ve got some stuff to do and looked to be ready later today. So I bailed by 9am.

Went home to tinker on sprinklers in the back yard.
It’s been a few years since we had a lawn out back, been rubbing on an area to do some grass. Have to dog proof it, dial in sprinklers etc before spreading seed.

This is the part I mention that thread here about what kind of truck does your gardener drive. He drives a clapped out 20 year old Dodge that looks just like mine

Anyhow.
About 10:30-11 Out by the sprinkler valves

I had to deal with a repeat visitor I convinced to leave a week or two ago.

This one

Caught wind of a squirrel.
Had it trapped between the fence slats and some privacy fabric we have stuck to it.

It got away.
So she waited
Looked
Listened
Waited, over 3 hours.
Just waiting

She’s a good girl.

I made no money today, man.
Rest of the week is good

Living life.
That lil gopher snake was an asshole.
Hissing, striking, a lot of attitude for a little guy

The wife asked as she took that pic, why are you wearing gloves?

So he wouldn’t bite me
I’m not fond of snakes.


She laughed and said for not liking snakes you sure do catch a lot of em.



I considered, after I put him in a paper bag, taking him down the street to @sintax house and letting him go on his porch.

Bit he lives way on down the street.
So I took him up the street to the empty lot at the top of the hill.
The guy that lives in that last home up there wasn’t thrilled to see me letting a snake go 80 feet from his lawn I don’t think.

I’m pretty sure this was the happiest day of her life when she got this fucker after years of being harassed. That squirrel didn’t give the butterball dog enough respect on her jumping ability and got pulled off the top of the fence.
