I am going to look at a new truck tomorrow, but the salesman are never honest enough, anyone have one and what kind of MPG are you getting ? On my Ford I will be trading in, it has a computer display that tells the MPG, but not sure about the Chevy, pretty sure I can drive it home if they have what I want, 8 ft bed and 4X4 and white

I have a 2009 2x4. I get 20 mpg driving to and from havasu and around town while I'm there. Running 85 mph. At home around town I'm at around 17.5

Sent straight from the LBC

One a day, be careful while driving :) but that rocks ! Well, I will see, I love Fords, but they messed me up so bad on my current truck, and I have 4 other fords, so I am going to look at the Chevy in the morning and see what I think , I am after MPG as I drive a lot, every day all day :)
Thanks all

The most we have seen on our F250, 2008 Diesel is 12.5, I was told on the highway, when we got it, it would get 20 plus, I think I would have to drive to China nonstop and fuel while on the move and still never get it :( Time to trade in, and they have some decent deals on trade ins right now, so I am hoping to get one, will see how it goes tomorrow !

Just playing the devils advocate here. How long will it take you to make the difference in price from buying a new truck and saving 5 mpg?

The price of a new one is probably 50? And 30 for your trade (that you paid 50 for). So how long does it take to make up 20k at 5 mpg?

If you want a new truck, then buy a new truck. If you're buying to save money on gas, it will never happen. Just a thought.

It's at 18.8 now, the reading earlier was just after coming up the Cajon pass. It only has 1500 miles on it and I'll be adding a bed cover so it will get better. I lost about one mpg on a havi trip when I put the 35's on it.

Maybe all I need is to wash it, and switch the odometer so the MPG are not starring me in the face :)
