I thought I saw a thread before reference some gripes reference the new tahoes. I could not locate it. My wife was on way to Kingman from Parker and check engine light came on and she stated the transmission is jerking/slipping as she is cruising down the highway. Drops it off at 5pm to Bradley in Havi. Luckily friend also going to Kingman for kids allstar game was able to pick her up. 25k miles on vehicle. Time to trade it in for a Ford?!?!

Most of the issues are due to air pressure noise.

I recall reading that. Ours does not have this issue so far. Quietest vehicle I have owned. Waiting for them to say that it was just overheated, since it is 120 outside!

At 25k?

Either you were really unlucky, or your family has a habit of running it too low on fuel (till the low fuel light comes on).

The low fuel light is not an indicator to get fuel, it means you are almost out :D

Try to fill up all your vehicles at 1/8 tanks at the lowest, 1/4 is even better. These new pumps all live in the fuel tank, and are cooled by the amount of fuel left.

The lower the fuel level gets, the hotter the pump runs, and wear occurs.

I have a few customers who refuse to listen, they get a fuel pump every 30k or so :rolleyes

One went so far as to accuse me of putting in cheap parts...he paid $300 more to have the dealer install the last one (I use factory Delco parts anyhow).

He came in on the tow truck after 17k :)

Funny as mine (15) acted up yesterday as well. Very sluggish at every stop and definitely down on power. Almost acted like vapor lock but being 123 degrees I chalked it up to the temp. Ran just like normal this morning.

We had two 2015's bought back from GM (one Yukon one Escalade), they gave us a new 2016 Escalade. Its the nicest car we've ever had that I HATE TO DRIVE! Pisses me off Every time im in it. Besides all the interior ear pressure, and vibration/buffeting past 60mph on the freeway. Tranny issues, Elect issues, and Terrible ride quality. Id do anything to convince the misses to get a 2014 Escalade until GM figures this all out. 2015 and 2016 GM SUV's are CRAP! The 2015i Escalade had the Trans and torque converter replaced twice.... slammed in and out of gear so badly, felt like another car re-ended us. Really really problematic vehicles. Our 16 has had the headliner removed, cross members re-glued, and entire roof Dynamatt'd....... its NO better.

Prior to this happening, she admitted to idling in the parking lot waiting to pick up our kid for over 10 minutes. Apparently high temps with low fuel pressure pissed off the pump? We rarely go under 1/4 tank in her vehicle. My truck on the other hand.....

Bought a new 11' Tahoe and it was the worst ever. Shifting was off, sputtering, rough idle, sluggish. So glad we got rid of it, wanted the new body style until we were told it had the same drivetrain. Wasn't going to happen.

Sounds like a pattern, probably a run of shitty pumps.

Bummer.

The new Tahoes are a complete completely different motor...
Shares nothing but bore spacing with the 97-13 motors.

Funny, was told differently but didn't research it either after I was told. I liked the new body style and the size.

My new 2015 Silverado was doing the same thing at dealer now I guess there is a recall on the trans they gave me a brand new 2016 right off the lot to drive till work was completed. For some reason the newer truck rides better then mine Special thanks To Chris Teague owner of Montebello Chevrolet I may trade the 2015 in. will see you cant beat the mileage there getting I avg 24 with as high as 31 on hwy

Keep your LTZ. Don't even entertain a 2015 or 2016. The new ones ride terrible, and the interior booming and buffeting is unbearable.

Wife won't get rid of it. Interior lights now flicker when brake or signal activated and apparently will be needing a new AC compressor soon once it cracks like the rest of them. Got a letter in mail yesterday saying they will pay for this repair, assuming you have less than 50k miles. We have 58k. If only GM stepped up to the plate 6 months ago! If you spend more money on the Escalade, they cover for 6 years and 60K miles!

TahoeYukonForum.com has lots of information. I bought a new 2016 Silverado 1500 Z71 last year and it was ok for me until I sold it besides shitty dash rattles but chose to buy an 07 Denali when it came to a family hauler for lots of reasons

I'd blame this one 100% on driver error!!!!

I bought the wife a 17 Denali Yukon XL and was concerned we would have the issues mentioned and so far its been great. Rides amazing, hauls ass, and is so quiet. My biggest complaint is it feels like you're going too slow at 80mph. I quite often find myself driving 90+ and pissed that people are driving so slow.

The adaptive cruise control is hands down the best option ever on a vehicle. Makes my drives to Pismo or the river much better. only downside is it shuts off at 10MPH so in stop in go traffic I have to go back to driving...LOL
