What is the best thing to do with Cummins for def, egr, exhaust, just got one and heard that def fluid is definitely not a good thing for engine, who makes the best kit for EGR, def, and exhaust kits?
truck is for off highway use only, lol
thanks in advance

I have a pre def truck so I have no clue.
I guess I don’t know how it all works?
It actually goes into the engine?

I’ve got 190k ish miles with no issues. You do need to let the tank get low before you fill it so that the truck knows it’s using it.

But otherwise I think any out of CA diesel mechanic can help you out lol.

I’ve had 2 4th gens without issue (currently drive a 17) they are typically about as reliable as an emission era Diesel can be. And they aren’t picky on DEF, run whatever kind you want.

They aren’t like the 07.5-12 trucks, a delete doesn’t make a night and day difference in power or reliability.

Are you gonna use it for its intended purpose or are you gonna use to do things a 1/2 ton gasser could do? If the later, sell it and buy a gasser.

Agree 100%. I wait for the warning and super-warning before I refill the Def.

I’ve got a ’22 6.7ISB, I use BluDef Platinum because I’m so afraid to have a problem - just my paranoia, and I fill when it gets to 1/2.

It's important to understand that DEF is not burned in the engine. It is only injected into the exhaust, so it can't "hurt" the motor itself.

buy the cheapest boxed cat piss you can find, I don't trust the def pumps at gas stations, I have seen a couple of friends have pump problems after using them.

Drive it until you’re limited in miles, then buy the cheapest shit you can get. Or delete it and move along.
