I run rainbows, grab a new pair every season for $40.00 and leave the old pair in the drop box at the shop down in SC. Been hearing about these $400.00+ flip flops for a while, nothing but positive reviews. Hand crafted, American made, best materials, good working wage for employees , etc..

I’m not gonna drop $400 on flip flops, it’s against my religion or some shit, however there’s an ass for every seat 🤷‍♂️

I guess if you like standing on the straps.

Rainbows last me 3-4 months and I’ve only qualified for the warranty once. I’d pay more for something longer lasting.

I wear Vionic they last and have arch support which makes the feet fell good.
$85.00. But also have Reefs here in the closet at the River, always buy the same color so when one bites the dust maybe I’ll have an extra?

Check out Grundens Deck Hand flip flops - they’re made of that Sea Dek cushy material. They are the most comfortable flip flops I’ve worn.

500 bucks and no bottle opener in the sole....wth ? Some of them do look pretty cool though, but I think I respect my money too much to buy something priced like those are. I think my money would be pissed off at me!

Whiteworks, Josh Martin (who you probably know through your board building) swears by them. I'm tempted to give them a go since I wear out Rainbows every six months or so.

Thanks for the reminder . . . need to order a fresh pair.

FWIW, I've been very impressed with the 'Simms' Challenger flips. The leather ones dry-out and crack too quickly for me being around the saltwater so much.
I get a solid 2 seasons out of a pair of Simms before I get a fresh set and they're still going strong. (save 'em as back ups)
Comfy, good support, and good traction on the boat wet or dry.
Bonus points for not smelling like foot-ass either.

I’m the dumbass that wears shorts and flip flops with a big jacket in 30 degrees. Haha. I can’t do the leather soled ones. I’ve settled on Reef cushion lux’s and burn through a pair a year or so.

Maybe I’ll these rainbows you guys speak of. No homo.

i keep several pairs of Rainbow's in rotation. I like sales and limited editions (as long as they're double thick)

free 2 day air shipping right now on orders over 100$. i recomend the "east capes" or anything "luxery leather, double arch" Rainbows were around long before the homo's stole the rainbow.

Only last 3-6months, but damn they are comfy!

Used to love Rainbows, then I broke my foot, and they don't agree with my titanium plates. Have tried multiples, and keep coming back to The beer cozy Sanuk's.

I wish the manufacturers could come up with a more reliable adhesive between the layers in the sole. That's where I always have problems. The layers simply separate. If OluKai could fix that one issue, their flops would be perfect.

I wore rainbows for a long time but got tired of my feet getting stained every time they get wet. Switched to the Cobian’s and love them

Who the fuck wants to open a bottle the bottom of their nasty ass shoe?

Did nobody learn how to use another bottle or an empty can, or almost any other item to open a bottle??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

My wife buys Reefs in bulk. I probably have 5 new pairs at both the Havasu and California house. I do have a pair of nice leather dress flip flops that i wore at my wedding in Hawaii, but the leather actually gets slippery. I will stick with Reefs.

Best flips I've ever owned.

They offer a waterproof version, the soles are stitched around the perimeter.

I found a leather pair of reef's on my sandbar several years ago and love them. I usually have a pair of Vans in rotation too.

I typically don't drive in flip flops so they all last me a long time

I'll stick to my Olukai's, thank you very much 😊

Ive worn them all and there is nothing better! Rainbows were ok for a long time, and Reef if I just didnt want to spend much, but I agree, OluKais are so much better than anything else. Having a footbed with support and the quality overall is by far the best. Not the cheapest at 90 to 125.00 but not 400! That is "riGodamndiculous" as John Wayne would say.

Yeah, I’ve caught some of his rainbow modifications on his Instagram feed. It’s pretty crazy how he burns through them so quick LOL

Unless the weather forces me into vans, I’ve worn flip flops since 84. Well. All my life if we actually think about it

I was in west marine the other day, FF's on average were 60-100 bucks, found pair of cobian in the 70% rack, fit my wallet perfect.

If I wore sandals everywhere, I guess 1-400 for a pair is ok? I spend 200 for my boots, and where them everywhere but on the water.
Me, personally, I'm not spending 400$ on flip-flops unless they were biblical...at least an Apostle edition or something.

I always buy olukai. I have a couple pairs now and seem to survive the summer abuse of boating season.
