Getting fuel into the coolant. Have noticed an odd drop, kinda ignored it, rain hit it and it had oil sheen. Knowing there’s no oil where it was drilling went looking. It’s coming out the coolant overflow and definitely smells like diesel.

I cannot for the life of me think where those 2 components (water & fuel) cross paths.

Thoughts? It runs perfect, has no other oddities other than the mixing.

My 6.0 did it at 180k. Injector cups in the heads cracked and let fuel into the coolant.

I’m sure parts are easy to get right now. 🤦‍♂️
They aren't tough to find. Most commercial dealers stock them, like the International MDT truck places. If you do it, get one of the cup removal tools off Amazon. Tool trucks have them too, but thinking this won't be a common thing for you.

If the injectors have been in the truck for more than a couple years I would change the Injector O-Rings while you have them out doing the cups. Cheap insurance. Get Alliant or Motorcraft branded O-Rings...I think Clay at Riff Raff Diesel can still get them. Again, if the truck has a lot of original parts the UVCH harnesses are also cheap insurance. Motocraft still the best.
We always found the easiest way to get the injectors back in without damaging the new O-Rings was to get a gallon of STP, dump it in a pitcher deep enough to get the injector body submerged into, and drench the injector in STP before sliding them in. It'll smoke a bit when you first fire it up, but you protect the O-Rings.

By the time you get it started you are gonna need a new starter. Hit the key with a charger set to start/boost or jumped from another truck and don't let off the key until it starts, it's gonna take a minute.

The cups aren't hard to find. Riff Raff has them and the tool too. I'm sure you could rent the tool from somewhere as well

Edit:
The other cool thing about Riff Raff is they usually have really good instructions for whatever components you're working on

Prosource diesel has a good kit with stainless cups and the tools required.
