Anchoring instead of beaching

We never parked the Sanger on a beach. I would pull up, we off load the ice chest etc through the open bow.
I had a 3 ft forming stake I welded a 6 inch round plate to, I would shove it into the ground, and drop our "shore rop" around it.
Then push the boat off, creep out 50 ft or so and clip the anchor line to the bow, throw the anchor off the bow with the bungee and float on it,
and back in til I could get the shore rope, hook it to the stern and let the boat float offshore about 6 ft.
I sold that boat when it was 18 yrs old and the bow didn't have a nick on it.

Now that is dedication! F$ck the seats keep that motor in the shade!

I try to avoid rocks and gravel, probably why we spend most of our time in the sugar sand of the gorge. We're too old not to beach it. View attachment 1509330

Things are always changing. Kind of wonder if the BLM planted seeds there, they were accused of doing that at the sandbar, never knew if it was true. Still have Granpa's beach and a few other spots.

What about having clear bra film applied in areas local to where wear would occur?
