When backing your boat's trailer down the ramp....:cool

Do you use your side mirrors, rear-view mirror or both?

Personally, I always use the side mirrors & I adjust them so I can clearly see the trailer tires & fenders. Rarely will I glance at the rear view mirror.:thumbsup

How about you all?:)

Side mirrors. I can not see anything straight behind me because the boat blocks all views.

Sides when I launch.

Retrieve - drop the tailgate and use the rear view and look over my shoulder when backing down.

Side mirrors only. Too much tint to see anything out the rear-view.

Mirrors. Looking out the back all I see is boat. Plus mirrors allows your peripheral to see if you're gonna run something over swinging the front around.

Both, I open the tail gate. I have a dolly trailer and a dually, so I can't see it in the SRVM until it is sideways.

neither. Our launch vehicle (jeep) stored at the river has a receiver on the front bumper. practical? maybe..but its easy to launch a boat with everything right in front of you. House is close to the ramp..no street driving.

When I was 13 my grandfather taught me how to backup the boat. He taught me the look over my shoulder method. 20 years later, I started to switch to side mirrors. I have slowly transitioned to the side mirror method, but it was a hard habit to break and I still catch myself going old school.

Side mirrors only. Easy to keep trailer tires lined up with lane markers, if there are any.
