Always enjoyed watching the Bald Eagles around Pugent Sound and British Columbia. There was once a pair at the south end of Havasu near Black Meadow Landing. Don’t believe they are there any longer. Watched BEs, Ravens and Sea Gulls dumpster diving up at Sub Base Bangor. There was definitely an order of hierarchy. Ravens were first, then sea gulls and last was always the Bald Eagles. Kind of a bummer to witness that.

The rehab lady called me. Confirmed the big girl has lead poisoning. They are treating her and it looks really positive. She is eating non stop.

She mentioned they have already spent $600 on the Eagle. I asked you don't have a grant or something from our government and she said no nothing. This seems weird to me. I don't think they are exactly making money doing this. I'm going to send over some money to help out.

Start a "go fund me" or something for the lil girl! I'll be more then willing to throw a few buck their way!! Or if you except Zelle I'll send it to you and you can get it to them🤷🏻‍♂️

At the cabin in MN there are at least half a dozen nesting pairs close by, and they fish/hunt in our bay all the time. It is a great way to spend an afternoon watching them work, and they will get close enough you can hear the wind in their feathers as the bird passes while flying.

That's quite the experience getting to rescue one, good show!

I didn't notice any smell but my gear will burn yore eyes from 5 feet away with 2 stroke. Went back to ride in the same area we found the bird at today.

I reached out to the facility last week, they said she is doing very well. Sounds like she has made a full recovery.
Great, are they going to let you know when they release her? I'm sure if they do, you'll let us know. Thanks

The rehabilitation lady called me and let me know they were planning to release the Eagle. They wanted to wait until next year because they have already migrated. They decided to do it now because she was hurting herself in the big cage. She was pretty pissed off about it. They let me do the release and it was pretty awesome.
