… Bob Seger was given his start by a friend of mine, Douglas, Fontaine Brown back in Detroit… Apparently they lived a few blocks apart… Bob Seger played keyboards in the band, Doug, Brown and the Omens… which I think there is a YouTube video of ???…Fontaine Brown, gave Bob Seger his style… over the years Bob Seger has offered Fontaine a lot of help on the road to successes, but Fontaine declined… he just wanted to stick with his career from an artistic perspective.???…

You know Pablo Escobar?
No, but I knew Dennis Coye. Drove a Rolls Royce and sold a lot of drugs in Michigan. Flipped an old Ford tractor over on himself and died on Ridge Road in town. There is some worthless trivia for you.

Bob Seger has always been one of my favorites. Started back when I was young and listening to FM and buying vinyl.

My wife is from NJ. Naturally, she thinks Bruce is the king. I have to remind her that most people west of the Missouri listened to the man from Detroit.

The original Silver Bullet "band" Way before Coors used the name silver bullet.

Bob Seeger played at the Devils Lake Pavilion in SE Michigan. We sat in our row boat with day and listened about 100 ft off the dock.
Grew up in his neighborhood and loved his music.
Roll Me Away is my all time best driving song!

… had a friend who grew up in Michigan… He got so drunk when he was young he walked home from the bar and walked in the house the next block over …up the staircase, and went to bed in one of the bedrooms… true story… not sure how that worked out???…

I always thought Seger was cool and all, but honestly I can’t stand 1 minute of his music.

It’s his writing style that I find boring.
“Reminiscing from the road” can be the title to everyone of his songs the way I hear them.

Like said, not badmouthing the man, just not a fan of his work.

Originally from Michigan, so Bob Seger seems like the soundtrack to my childhood. Finally was able to see him in concert in February of 2015.
