One of the main reasons I posted this thread. I love the heat but can't do it without water. Just wondered what the temptation and attraction was to get people to go that far out into the desert to participate lol.

I wonder how they control admissions......you can't fence off a huge dry lake out in the middle of the desert?? And I wonder how the organizers put it all together....permits, insurance, etc?

From the pictures, there are lots of cute girls, but I gotta think after 3 or 4 days on a dry lake bed with no showers that stuff has got to be pretty gamie and gritty.

My camping group goes to BM. Their camp is Gigsville. They have also been on the dept of public works there, building the city. There is also a lot of Burners that do little burns after the main one to un- wind. They also have now splinter groups doing there own cause BM has gotten out of control and the ticket lottery situation is casting off original burners,
