I have seen a few threads lately about new topics to start and it got me thinking about all the travel I do with work.

So I'm starting a thread to post pictures of the places we all go while working...

I'm on my way NYC today.

I never have time to take photos while traveling for work. I am usually only in one place for 24 hour with my current job. Next week I land in Fargo, ND at 9pm Monday and fly out Tuesday at 4pm.

First half of the week last week in Greenville South Carolina. Beautiful weather.

Chicago middle of the week, not so good weather but cool storm. This is taken from the Hilton overlooking Lake Michigan.

A shot across the wing overlooking Las Vegas Strip and the McCarran Airport as we came in to make my connection traveling from OC.

I'll be in Atl in 2 weeks
I get to go back once a month. It's not too bad. Better than the alternative which is moving back there. (Did my 2 year stint a decade ago).

One for boat bling... this is with the seat leaned all the way back. It's not the best way to watch game 7.

Traveling for work has its perks but this is a rough trip, miss my wife and 3 girls. Woke up at 5am and finally arrived in RI at 7:30 this evening a full day shot sitting in airplanes and catching lay over flights.

A unique opportunity was offered to me about 17 months ago, I jumped. Dropped equity in my other business and went all in on to run executive management on a pro basketball league.... in India. We own the league, all 8 teams and all TV production. We produce live on TV there, we're the first who has ever done this there. It's as crazy as it sounds.

Imported the floor and goals for our last season in July. The floor was actually the NBA all star floor in Toronto last year... just refinished. Add certified basketball floor design and install management to my resume.

Monument looks unscathed, and the story?

Brian
He was passing a truck on a two lane road.........the truck decided to make a left turn. Passenger and driver both in the ambulance with non life threatening injuries. They are lucky they didn't get killed.

Sitting in Phx airport waiting for my connection to Austin - I left the house in San Clemente at 10:45 this morning. A flight attendant didn't show up for work today and 200 people got screwed!

I'll get to the hotel in Austin around 12:30am if things go smooth from here.

Long day for nothing...

Quick stop in Selma and Clovis to start. Up to Los Banos and back down tomorrow. If I didn't live in Chino this place might smell a bit.

Bravo Farms! Great place to grab a meal on the 99. Stop in Kettleman City on the 5 on your way back and enjoy their other location. Cow Shit does not smell by the way!

It took long enough lol, I've been traveling for years and have yet to setup a card or whatever to receive points, any suggestions?
Any of the usual suspects have decent programs that are worth signing up for.

I fly American and have 4 million miles - at any given time I have about 1 million in my bank.

While I'm not usually in a hurry to use them very often for myself - it's nice to have them for my kids to travel etc.

When a first class seat to London for the weekend cost $12,500 - I can use a 100k - 200k miles and it won't cost a cent!

The nice thing about American (and other big ones) is I can fly other airlines and get miles - like Etihad or Quantas or Alaska etc.

The trip you are doing now might even get you a flight or possibly be enough use those miles to upgrade your next flight.

I also have a CC that gets me AA miles.

CC miles won't goes towards your total mikes traveled but will give you "miles" you can use for upgrades or free tickets.

The real benefit I get day to day is boarding first and getting choice seats - I very rarely am the guy in the isle looking for a place for my carry on - I boarded first and it's tucked in my over head while I watch people walk back to the front of the plane and check their bag.

I just hit Senator with Lufthansa last month. The showers in the lounge are the best part about the whole thing for me, 1/2 way through the 27 hour journey, I get to reset my shower clock.

Some good food in ATL........was there a few weeks ago. Mary Macs is good, and fox bros BBQ. I had the best steak in my life at Bone's steak house, check it out.
I've been to Bones (last time I sat next to Jerry / cowboys owner). I'll have to keep an eye out for the other places you mentioned
