My go to handyman in Havasu is booked solid, so was wondering if any full or part time residents that are handy with this kind of stuff wanted to make a couple extra bucks and install 2 ceiling fans for me at the house.

They would be replacing fans that are already in place, so should be a pretty easy job.

It is easy, should take you about an hour to hour and half

I just did two of mine and like mentioned, super easy! Im not a fan of electrical work myself but its just two wires. Make sure power is off and test before working on it.

Take down one old one to start, and Ill think you will be superised on the process

I did our 5 replacement fans in March. Busy today through Monday but able to assist next week if you don’t find anyone sooner. 👍

Install is one thing. Balancing is another. My living room one shakes just enough to rattle the chain. I don’t use it too much so I never dealt with it. Need to take it to a tire shop. :p

Fan only or light kit too?
Separate switches for fan and light?
Any remote controls?

I have done several fans, I could be your Huckleberry

If it is existing, the hard part is already done unless Steve Gorilla glued them to the ceiling :)

It is pretty easy.

I'd check your mounting screws and washers.....thats not normal. I worked for a lighting company in HS, installed hundreds of fans and have never had one not balanced from the box or damn close.

OP...they aren't hard to do unless you have some weird hardwired remote. I always recommend Randy from Havashock.

Turning the power off first? It's just 110. LOL If it's just a switch on the wall sure, but I wouldn't start flipping breakers for that.

One of my best friends growing up, his big brother was an electrician. He was up in an attic wiring up a 110V Ceiling Fan (solo) and was laying on an water pipe. Home Owners came home a few hours later and found him dead up in the attic. Most electrical deaths are caused by 110V believe it or not.

My office fan stopped working a couple weeks ago, it was the push in wire on the back of the wall switch. My Electrican didn’t pull back on when he pushed it in so it didnt stay.

Super easy fix!

That’s sad. Probably thought easy job. Guard down. True on the 110. If you are a good ground. Muscle spasm won’t let go. High voltage blows you across the room.
Even to this day I have a mantra before using things that want to kill me, “ Where are you and what are you doing”

Try tightening the blades. I’ve had a wobble before that was just a screw that had backed out.

If your electrician is using the stab in connection on the switches and outlets you need a new electrician

Nothing wrong with stab in’s. I’ve seen more problems with screws being wrapped.

One of our good friends here in RDP also lost his life in an attic with 110v. It scares me regardless.

RIP brother. Miss you more and more every year.

Anyone have advice on what fan to buy that won't melt. I need to replace three fans on my outdoor patio and I don't want the blades to look like a limp d**k.
Does anyone have any brands or advice on fan blade material that won't sag in the Havasu heat?
