I bought at set of wheels for my truck and want to get them chromed. I'm thinking of using a place in Pomona called Cicc Co. They used to do all the chroming for the dealerships that used to be along the 71. They do offer a 3 year warranty, everyone else offers only about 1 or 2 years.

Has anyone had any experience with these guys?

I use Hi Tech Metal in Santa Fe Springs, they do in house plating, Polish, and Powdercoat.
562 946 5100 Ask for Matt. He'll even walk you through the place and show you the process.
These are the last wheels I had polished and coated. IMG_20160525_132745.jpg

Have tried to use a couple platers in Pomona. I could not find one that did the plating themselves. My body shop sent me to Universal Metal Plating in Azusa.. At Irwindale Ave and the 210..

They have been great to work with on several cars.

They don't do chroming anymore - they said that they didn't have the enough call for it to justify the cost of materials.

Holy crap, these guys are expensive at $450 a wheel! They might do high quality work, but I can't justify that cost for plating of the wheels for my truck plus an 8-week turn around too.

if you are close to Signal Hill, our guy is in one of our buildings near anaheim and Santa fe/Harbor. He only doe the polishing, but sends out to multiple platers in the area. He did the garnish and front axle on my 32 if you want to see the work. There is some shadowing on the garnish, but corners are very difficult. I think it was about $400 for those 7 pieces which is very inexpensive. PM if you want to try him.

Sorry, guess he figures you have a show truck. He does lots of stuff for show cars and shops.

Everything he has ever done for me is very reasonable, and he picks up and delivers to Parker when he is out here. I've only had him do engine parts, valve covers, timing covers, intake manifolds.

No worries, if I had a bitchen' show car I'd use someone like that, but for wheels for my daily driver I can't justify the cost.....Now if I had FU money, that'd be a different story - I'd get a new truck just to change the wheels.

These are what I'm chroming.

Interesting.. They did a bumper and a grille for us about 3 weeks ago..

Hope that was not the last one.

could have called me, I've used the same plater for 20 years.

$450 per wheel can't be for chrome plating unless it comes with 2 whores for 2 hours each.

$175-$200 per is a fair price.

I doubt they chrome them there if they do that's dirt cheap and no way triple chrome plated at that price.

I haven't had the wheels done yet, probably after the holidays after I get my bills paid.

How can the guy in Pomona be dirt cheap, he's only $10 cheaper per wheel than your guy.

I'll give you a call before I decide where to take them. Thanks.

It does say from $89, but the 14, 15, & 16 inch wheels are $99. 20" wheels (what I have) are $165.

For sure, I'll give you a call when I'm ready. I appreciate it.
