Do you have one? Do you like it?

Have any experience with them?

NOT for gaming. Business only.

Thanks in advance. 👍🏼

Good thread. I was thinking of getting one big curved monitor in place of my two side by side monitors

I like them better, especially multiple monitor setup. I have two curved side-by-side on the desk, and then a wide screen flat above them for AutoCAD.

My kid has a Samsung G9(?) 32" curved, I like it better than my 27" HP flat panel. Work pays for my crap though so no upgrade in my future.

Good lawd. They developing anime porn or some shit?
nah they deal with a lot of reports, charts and spread sheets. A job I wouldn't want so let them have them as far as im concerned. The monitors are beautiful. I walked by one in my office a couple months ago and the screen saver was on and I had to stop and look at it for a bit. I was amazed! And I don't get amazed much anymore.

I've heard from some people with glasses that they had issues with some peripheral viewing. May be mixed with their prescription, maybe astigmatism or something? I'd want to spend some time in front of one viewing the text, game...... or porn...... I'd use it for.

Do you need a new monitor because you are getting OLD?

Aging out?

Not for me. I have two 32" 4k flat monitors (that I love) already.

Need to replace 2 27's, and we found two curved 32's to replace em in Best Buys outlet store.

Not sure about the resolution though. We will see how they look once hooked up.

Price was definitely right. 👍🏼

I'd say for day to day spreadsheet work or word the curved might not be the greatest option. I run both a regular and a curved side by side depending on the task. Curved took a little to get used to but it's awesome!

So I use one at work. I think it’s a 32”. I have it in landscape flanked with two 27” flat panel monitors in portrait mode. Sort of looks like an H.

I’ll try to add a picture tomorrow when I’m at work.

Anyway I had three 27” flat panel monitors all in landscape and it got pretty wide. I didn’t mind it.

Only reason why when I swapped out the center monitor for the curved one that I put the outside two in portrait mode was simply because the monitor stand for the three monitors wouldn’t get all three in landscape.

I’ve gotten used to the two in portrait and in some cases it’s useful for moving Word to it or viewing something that benefits from portrait more than landscape to one of them.

I didn’t pick the curved monitor, our work was buying them and expecting those folks with dual monitors to give up the second monitor. Though as I already had a three monitor setup I wasn’t about to give up any of my monitors. My boss was sort of pissed but I told him I’m super productive with the three and he had no way to argue that.

With Win11 it’s easy to snap things into any type of grid you want.

For those of you on Win10, dell makes a utility that can poorly mimic that but it works as well to get multiple windows arranged on all the monitors.

Thinking about buying one, how much?

These were 270 at the outlet store.

But going from a 27 4k to a 32 2k is not looking ideal.

Jury is still out. Only have one hooked up so far, but I do have to say, so far I like the slight curve. 👍🏼

From what I was told during my shopping for a new TV, the Curved panel screens work best when the TV is located in a corner, and is viewed from a curved sofa, or seating arrangement.

This allows everyone a centered view of the screen, although they are left or right of it. 😉

I have 2 32” curved monitors. I like them. They are 300 hz refresh rates 4K for gaming.

Been thinking about going to 1 57” curved monitor. I’m not sure if you can still have it like 2 monitors for dual tasking

Dual 32” Curved Monitors - needed for drawings/spreadsheets etc.
Adj Desk elevates to standing or sitting - needed for my back/neck

Also have 55” TV in my office- typically has global finance news or news going.

But I dont get many office days anymore.. LOL on road to much…

Then I have a laptop… which is painful… when you used to dual monitors.

I have the 49" Samsung Odyssey G9. Honestly I love it and wouldn't go back. I have a similar setup at my work office too. Fits 3 basically full screen windows plus my laptop below

Can't live without a good set of speakers either - pair of Mackie HR824's

Ignore the wires, still a WIP

So you are able to break up the single screen in to 3 separate sections? I'm looking at going multiple screens, but this might be better..

They aren't dedicated screens as if you had multiple monitors but in Windows you can hover over the "full screen" icon in the top right of a window and tell it exactly where to go

The setup you see in my photo is the top right one with 3 of the same size windows. After you select it will let you pick the windows you want for the other sections. If you do that they all "snap" together so you can resize the widths if you wanted

So even though these are 2k they look ok for work stuff. Jury is still out though.

I will say this though...

I love the curve to em! Need to rob a bank and find some curved 4k 32+ monitors for me now! 😜

Love mine. Just make sure to get a high resolution one and not a cheap one. Mine is 3440x1440 px. I wouldn't go anything less.

I was ready to return these, but we are gonna stay with these cheap ones.

Why?

The main issue was, the colors didn't match AT ALL. So I stayed up past midnight last night reading up on monitor calibration, ICC profiles, calibration tools and all kinna rabbit hole shit! Lol

Work up this morning with a clear head and started in with my hard earned knowledge.

After about an hour or so, I have these two monitors just about perfectly color matched.

You can position a spreadsheet across them and both halves look the same, so we decided to keep them.

To spend a few hundred more bucks, for business class work, just doesn't make any sense.

For what I do, I absolutely Need 4k, and id need to rob a bank to get the 4k curved monitors id want. 😜

So all's well that ends well. Best Buy's outlet store saved the day. 👍🏼

P. S. And now I have 3 4k monitors, cause only one of the old ones was bad! 😁

This is my set-up at the office. These Dell monitors are pretty cool. They combine a laptop docking station with the monitor so you just use the 1 USB-C to connect to the monitors and change the laptop.

We don't have a workstation at the office. Just the laptop we can take when working remotely.

My firm has spent millions researching curved -vs- flat monitors for trading. Let's just say we have over 40K desks and trading positions with curved 38" displays and dual curved 49" displays globally, there are advantages to how your eyes pic things up with a curve. We partnered with Dell and LG to develop curved hardware, really cool stuff. I'm sold on the platform we built. Prices are really coming down now that manufacturing has improved.
