Out of country scammers getting US numbers to make their calls. No harm on you but I never give them the code.I’m selling my 2001 Chevy Astro, posted it up 20 minutes ago. I got 11 text messages of people wanting send me a G-code for verification. Is this something normal? Or are these folks blazing crazy!
The harm is phone numbers are part of two step verification, I'm afraid it's linked to identity theft.
True, but there is no link to yourself and or financially. It is 2 step to verify the phone number is all. What I’m trying to say is to not lose sleep over it if you accidentally sent them the code.

I use the burner app for my phone numbers I use in the ads. Zero link to me, well worth the few bucks it costs for the number to burn when the ad is done and no trace back.

Me too. I’ve always just used disposable burner phones from Walmart. Oh. And pay cash for the burner.
