Who has recommendations for subterranean termite treatment in Havasu? Noticed one little tube on the inside of the garage in the last week....I have heard once you find a tunnel, you need treatment....

You definitely need treatment. I've heard good things about Havasu Pest Control.

You may not have to do the whole house, they'll be able to determine that. One good thing about subterranean termites is they spread relatively slow.

Just had HPC out last week. The wife found a tube hanging down from the ceiling in the living room. They came and gave us the great news but I have not got back to them yet. He found a tube on the outside where they were coming up out of the dirt and showed it to me and then did a whole house walk through/around and found possibly one more. He gave me two bids, one for spot and one for whole house. The whole house has a guarantee of three years but also told me that the stuff they use now days is real good and we should be good to go for at least 10 years. Very nice young man and seemed to know what he was looking for. He and a coworker will be doing the work which was a plus for me as I don't want some young kid, thinking about what he is going to do that night or the next weekend to be doing my over 1K job. BTW, HPC came highly recommended.

Did you do all the drilling and application? They're talking drilling every 12'-18' and pforumping that crap in with long tubes. Shoot it would take this fat old guy days just to do the drilling.

You can do the exposed soil treatment yourself but the drilling and pressure treating you dont have the equipment for

Exactly!!! They told me those damn things can be 50' deep in their nest with the queen. Also said there are possibly 30-50 nest per acre in Havasu.

Yes true. They wanted $1,800 just to do the soil treatment, so I did that part

I had them drill just the effected area not redrill the whole home. The other area where pipes came up the slab I also did my self with the termador expanding foam

WTF?

Pictures or explain???

Steve put a pic up. That's what they look like. HPC said they bore thru the drywall and start that tube down to the floor thinking they'll get back to the dirt faster than where they came from. HPC said they have seen those all the way to the floor. They are filled with the little buggers. They're only about 1/16" long, way smaller than what we had in Oregon with the flying ones.

Aggressive little bastards. We had to have our shop in Phoenix treated 2x over 2 years. Cardboard case packs are like filet mignon to them [emoji35] Found a couple tubes coming straight up through carpet. Pretty cool how the techs drill right through the concrete to inject poison.

Tech described the termite life cycle and it was really fascinating.

I have good luck with HPC I would also recommend you call ACE pest control here in town and ask for "Lucky". Personally I would bid one against the other (as I do during Escrows) and it's amazing how they will adjust pricing to get the business....they all give a warranty so they have to get rid of them. "Hint, Hint"...........once you get to the price you want with the one you like.....tell them you'll sign right now if they give you an extra year or 2 warranty....that way if they come back you're covered;)
