Any word on when the are going to design them? We have a 04 and would love a new one with some newer technology and features.

The Econoline is going to be put out to the pasture in 2014, and will be replaced by the full size Transit Van. The Transit will be a much more efficient van with more payload capacity, cargo capacity, and better fuel economy.

You will only see minor changes to the Econoline in the next couple years, for the reasons mentioned above. Since 04, they have re-designed the exterior grill, and the dash. They now offer the SYNC system, and the same Navigation system in the current F-Series (a great system).

That sucks, the Transit is ugly as sin. Maybe its time to fix up the van for another 100K. I'm a little afraid of the 5.4 lasting. But Jaime in the parts department always treats be right. Thanks Dan

Glad to hear Jaime is taking care of you, he's a good guy.

Last month I had to different customers trade in their E250's with over 200,000 miles each. While the vans were pretty worked, the 5.4's in both still ran relatively strong.Keep up with the maintenance and you should get the same.

Love my old Econo!!! 1989, 150k on the dial and just rebuilt the motor (302). Going to have over 300hp and 350ft. lbs. Took the FI off and went old school carb/ headers, etc... Have plans to swap a Dana 44 up front (aod w/205 TC) and go 4x4!! Hard to beat the old Econo's for reliability and room!! Pull the boat and can camp in her!
