..,Very cool indeed… I can’t decide whether your creative project has made me want to take up drinking again or to get back into horses… Maybe both???…
… A horse trailer is probably about the only kind of trailer I’ve never owned… Was always able to borrow one…

Thanks @HOOTER SLED- I get excited every time I see it. I think it turned out alright for my first mobile bar.

Our first event was booked for a May 5th so decided to get a test run in the day before. A buddy brought us on to help with a non-profit that provides meals and beverages to police, nurses/doctors and firemen. My partner gladly chose to take over the fire station visits.

Meanwhile I’m day dreaming about the day those damn jeep rims are replaced. I hate them with a passion.

We were then asked to participate in a photo shoot by a friend of my business partner. First time the trailer was behind a professional lens! I also spent that day teaching Katie how to drive with the horse trailer.

Meanwhile I had my eye on the prize. Was ready to pull the trigger as soon as we booked out first event.

I agree, now that you made me look, I hate those wheels too. The chrome smoothies are nice, have you considered some hot rod wheels, like spokes, powder coated to match the trailer, and maybe make the center hub cap gold to match the trim? I had some made for my 1932, they were quite a bit more expensive than smoothies, but they look soo good.

@dirtslinger2 I never considered anything else but a smoothie style rim because it screams “old school” to me. Price was also a factor as we wanted to get into the black as quickly as possible on the first trailer.

The smoothies will look great, except I don't see any other Chrome on that beautiful trailer. These are what I did on my 32'. I don't remember what they cost though, but I think about $400 a wheel.

BTW, where are you guys located, or what areas do you service incase I had a reason to hire you.

Wow that is an incredibly beautiful ride! Those rims looks perfect. The smoothies DO look great 😉 and have the added benefit of covering up the nasty looking drum breaks all while keeping road grime from being slung around.

We’re out of Phoenix and we do travel for events. Our most recent trip out of the metro area was for a wedding just north east of Flagstaff. I plan on bringing her over to Havasu once it cools off.

I'm in So-Cal, but my daughter goes to school at ASU and has no plans to ever come home, so maybe there will be a need someday for a mobile bar. Have friends that are in Cave Creek as well. I'll have to let them know incase they throw a party.

Up next was a photoshoot at Royal Palms Resort in Arcadia. A California based event photographer hired us for a mock wedding and it turned out pretty cool. Katie logged another 15miles driving with the trailer and did a great job backing her up

Managed to capture the work I put in towards developing a plan Submittal for our Food Type II certification. I consult on the side in process development for small businesses so this wasn’t too hard to put together.

Passed on the first go around!

We’re taking a word of mouth approach to breaking into the weddings and special events market. The winner of our first social media raffle was a young lady from Scottsdale who was having a bachelorette party at a local rental. We covered all expenses outside of alcohol and mixers.

I unfortunately was out of town for the event 🙃

We’ve since converted two leads from this party!

Turned out awesome. Are the wheels locked (breaks) or do you have ssome hidden stabilizers to stop from rocking n rolling ?
Congratulations on the referrals

Much appreciated @DirtyWhiteDog!

We do have tire chocks on the other side of the trailer but that’s only needed when we’re on some sort of grade. You’d be surprised how stable the trailer is, doesn’t rock or sway at all.

Great thread...missed this. Really dig that you and Katie did this together and it seemed to have a lot of passion behind it. Trailer turned out amazing and I can only imagine as events continue to happen you guys are going to be super busy...

Trailer looks great. You can use this product with a small fine brush on the decal edges. It will never come off. We would have to put this stuff on aircraft when companies would merge so the decals wouldn’t come from due to wind.

https://www.amazon.com/3M-Edge-Sealer-3950-Graphics/dp/B005LDH83S

Now that is one product I would of never thought to even search for. Even though the new 3M graphics haven’t peeled I’m going to pick this stuff up. Thank you!

Thanks for the nice words. She had been talking about the idea for years and I was fortunate enough to be able to turn her “what if” into a real business.

Got entirely caught up on thread.... very impressive both in concept and execution. Now that you've launched its time to discuss bookings right. I assume Katie will use her background for sales. I am thinking the cocept would be well received at open house events for high end properties on market. Im in SoCal and know our $5-20M agents would jump on the added attraction. Plus it keeps folks on property longer. Just a thought....

Great minds think alike @billperkins3@att.net! As we grow our brand we will Inevitably look to expand our fleet. With that growth comes to opportunity to focus on a subscription model where clients pay monthly and schedule on their own. Outside of wedding/special event venues, I think a real estate presence will be a perfect fit. Plus side is our clients can access product at a much less expensive price point.

Here’s a event we did for a healthcare staffing company. The client was looking for a unique way to greet guests as they arrived.

If you recognize our bartender Sonia, that’s because she was at the 2020 Damn Dam run. I had met her the day before and it just so happens her ex shared my name 😛

We ended up splashing in Lake Pleasant for a sunset cruise on the way down from Catherine’s. Was an incredible view as always...

Damn I have A LOT to share with y'all! Business is booming.

We've shifted from a just being a "mobile bar" to providing professional beverage catering services as part of scaling the business from a side hustle/hobby to a real income driving machine. We've purchased a second trailer to build out and will have two smaller bar rentals come online this year. The plan is for my partner to go full-time 1st quarter 2023.

Tonight's drop off in Wingate Ranch, North Scottsdale. This is a repeat client who again chose our "Little Soiree" package; a basic drop off and pick up for us and a perfect fit for clients who already have a catering service handling beverages.

Another raving review from out last rental!

Y’all can’t imagine how much I obsessed over the lighting. The stress of late nights testing different LED strips, warmth etc. along with bringing in photographers for feedback all melts away when we gets pics.

Standing here wondering if I’m doing it right or if it’ll look like shit.

Some fun shots from the 2021 iHeart Media / Johnjay & Rich #LovePup event. We offered the trailer rental at no cost as more of a pop-up style display piece. This turned into a blossoming relationship with The Barking Bodega & the Phx Uptown Market.

What a great adventure and you, sir, have some great skills. Thank-you for documenting the process. It’s a 1/2 hour hot rod build up without the damned commercials. Wish you all the best.

This next event was fairly unique in that the client not only requested champagne and margaritas on tap, but for us to serve Dom Perignon and Don Julio 1942. That put each 2.5gal cornelius keg value at over $3,000 for champs and $1,000 for margs! Fitting for a week long fiesta at one of the most exclusive golf clubs in the valley. Naturally we were given limited access to shoot the trailer.
