Woke up in the morning to a strange hum coming from outside. WEnt out to the MOHO garage and the generator was runnning. I thought somebody broke in and had it running. Still all locked up and closed up but generator was on.
Is there such a thing as a low power auto start or cycling sensor that would cause the generator to automatically start up?
This is an older coach. 2005

Yup. Can be set when batteries get low to auto start to charge. You could have a magnum controller and the settings are in there.

Yup, my 2003 also has a low voltage auto start. The gen control panel has a switch for AUTO / MAN. When set to Auto, it will run the gen for a preset amount of time if the voltage reaches a low threshold.

If you don't have a panel for the AGS in the coach it will be located with the coach side electrical panel. Typically located on driverside in front of the tire

Several companies make add-on devices to offer low voltage auto-gen start including Magnum Energy.

What brand/model is your 2005 coach 69hondo?

mine has an auto mode that will start the gen when battery voltage drops.

If you have a Magnum inverter (which most coaches of the early/mid 2000’s did) it’s most likely a setting in it. Mine has it and you have to cycle through the menu to turn it on/off.

My 07 Discovery and 2011 Revolution both have AGS (auto gen start), but you usually have to turn it on. Maybe yours was left on? There are settings to program parameters of when you want it to kick on, etc. control panel usually looks like this...
