Alternator comes up as a 1988-1990 Chevrolet Carpice w/ 5.0L V8 (among a few others....)

Here is a list of replacement connectors, from Rock Auto -

Thanks for all the help. I got the alternator installed and I only have one wire hooked up, from the "bat" post on the back of the alternator to the starter's battery cable post. It appears to be working without any other of the wires connected. From the Bat post to the alternator housing I have 12.6v and once the motor starts I have 14.5 at the battery. I assume this mean I have a "internal or self exciting" model that doesn't need any other circuit wired to the ignition to "turn it on".. Is this correct that the model of alternator I have will work with just a single wire?

Not sure if those models are, but its definitely charging. Make sure it isn't draining your battery when sitting!
