Who is the go to pool service person or company for monthly cleaning/repairs. Have a good friend that is looking for someone to take care of their pool that is actually going to show up each week, clean the deal, and let them know when something is wrong and or needs fixing rather than just sending a monthly bill and flaking! I know, I know "that's Havasu". Thanks for the help.

Huh, maybe its because it was Friday night/start of a weekend but I gotta believe there are more than 3 pool owners in Havasu that have their pool cleaned and are here on RDP :D.
Thank you to those who responded, I'm just trying to help out a friend with a vacation house in town that is very tired of being taken advantage of by their pool service.....or lack there of!

Jessie does ours and I've been really happy.. Easy going guy that takes the time to explain things and has gone the extra mile for us.

I don't have an extra referral for you. I'm sure there is others.

Definitely. The couple my in-laws bought their place from have been taking care of the pool (very nice people). We were just talking about this Friday, finding a company to take over.

Bella Luna Complete Pool care, 626-319-0558, 928-680-0421. Chris Covey, best pool service Ive found in Havasu. I'm a pool contractor, I've been through 4 service cos in 8 years and he's by far the best. Nows service, shows up weekly, and nows how to repair when needed. My home in Havasu is a vacation home, and every time I get there its ready, looking good, and running well. Super nice guy, and keeps me informed.

We use Total Pool Care 928-764-2396.

They were referred by my pool contractor, and they have been great. Very reliable. Couldn't be happier with them. They even serviced the pool when it was snowing in town last year. :thumbsup We would highly recommend them.

They are a family business. Brent is the one that services us.

Now that I have a pool going in I've been observing my neighbors pool services. One guy comes and does a pretty good job except for the fact he takes a leak back by their pool equipment. The other is a chick who mostly seems to do a good job, but last week I saw her come and go in a matter of minutes....a day after some big winds. Wtf?really?
So basically, they both have been placed in my lower priority list [emoji20]

There's one service out there, one guy does the chemicals then another comes back to clean. How the hell does that work and how does he make any money.

Between pool and landscape service it baffles me how some stay in business in Havasu. Some of the excuses and straight up lie to your face has almost been comical.

If your a part timer you have to find a person that keeps you informed. And if possible, cover your pool equipment or at least shade it the best you can.

And if that don't work just drink through it. :D:D

I miss Phebus. [emoji17]. The guy we're using now is eh, ok I guess. Kinda thinking of finding someone new. Last time I was out I used my jacuzzi. There was so much chlorine in the pool it was literally burning my eyes.

Thanks everyone I will pass this info along and let them make some calls and get some first impressions. I know they were paying $90.00 a month for weekly service and everytime they would get into town the pool was always dirty (even if the day before was the normal stop), or something would be wrong with the equipment, or would have no chems and going green and this last time they went up the pool water level was below the skimmer and the automatic cleaner was laying on the deck.....or at least the hose was, the cleaner head was gone! When they would get ahold of him he always has excuses.

My service person said $100 per month, I said no $125 and do a good job. So far so good. There's no way at $90 a month the person is making money or enough to keep there head into it.

Never thought of shading the pool equipment, but it doesn't sound like a bad idea..

For full service the normal rate in Havasu is 85.00.. 65.00 if you just having them do chemicals. We do the 85.00 option with Jessie so I don't have to screw with it. Speaking of which my kids are in the spa right now. :D

I pay $75 / Month. Full service and he can fix anything. Doesn't jerk me around with up charges and gives me plenty of warning if something big is needed.

Jesse at Dezart Elegance is the best! (928) 486-1275

I just called Jesse base on Dave and Stacey's (hope spelling is right) recommendation. WOW! Talk about service. I explained to him that we bought the house about 3 weeks ago. Never had a pool before and know nothing about taking care of it. To make it worse I'm in Riverside while the wife is at the new house. She calls and tells me pool is turning green. We have run out of chlorine tabs. I call Jesse. Explain the situation. He is done for the day and doesn't even service my south side area until Friday. Throws his shoes back on and heads for my place to take a look. Doesn't want money up front says we can talk about it later. Talk about customer service! The company the previous owners had wouldn't even return my phone calls.

Just to follow up within an hour Jesse took my first call, drove over and got my pool squared away and called me back to let me know what he did. Very impressed!

How's everyone service guys doing? Everyone still Happy with them?
I'm ready to find a new company. My original service guy seemed fine but he decided to get an indoor job and the replacement kid doesn't seem to have the same thoroughness.
Last time we were here and he didn't know it....I bet he spent less than 30 seconds in my backyard. I'm thinking full service takes a bit longer than that.
Tomorrow will be another litmus test session on him.:D

You are paying for his time. If he's not giving it, he's stealing from you. It will only get worse in time, fire him now and find someone reputable.

Don't know how it works but I do know my guy will usually drop by once a week if he's in the area. If imagine by doing that he doesn't need to be there as long every time. Like I said I don't really know though that's just what the nanny tells me. Pool looks great so I don't have any reason to jam him up

My math brain went the same route....$25+ for about one minute average. It's subcontracted through the pool builder so I pay a bit more than the average to extend warranty on equipment......something I have decided I don't care about anymore.
.
My full service is to included brushing sides, and a quick scrub around waterline tile, checking chems and basket cleaning at skimmer and pump.
Last time he left with a nickel sized piece of chlorine tab in the floater.

I agree not every week will need the same care but some things should be done weekly.

Total Pool Care for us too . Josh is our pool man from there . This is our 1st pool home so we don't have a lot of experience with pools . With that said the pool is always clean and clear . He also does repairs and lets us know before he does the work .

Since I live a block away from YoPengo I use it as a short cut all the time. Funny thing is YoPengo lives on the street and he didn't even know the short cut until I showed him. :D
