We're looking at houses and down the road I can see us in a Tritoon but want to make sure an average Tritoon will fit.

I know there are a ton of variables with manufactures and trailers, tires, ECT.

Edit: with Bimini down lol.

Just looking for some numbers to get an idea of what will work for us.

Thanks!

My tri-toon is 12‘10“ sitting on the trailer with the Bimini top up.
if it were me I would look for an RV garage with a full 14 foot door for resale down the road. The bigger RVs are going to need it.

Thanks! That's what I'm looking for but super limited inventory in our price range.

both mine are 9'.. i'd say get 10' or 14'
Thanks! Trying to lol. Inventory is low unless I had a half mil laying around. So just want to make sure that if I found something with a 9' that I would have a chance to fit one.

Mine has triple axles w/
E0900837-E1D7-4DD9-BAED-643671D0B767.jpeg
20” wheels and a hardtop so it tops out around 13’6”....regardless of what you buy I agree the 14’ door is standard nowadays and best for future resale.

With the bimini and arch down, mine just fits under a 10’ header.

It’s easy and electric, but sometimes I find it just to be a pain in ass. I would rather just back it in and never have to lower the arch. I would need at 14’ door to do that.

Bummer is, after thinking I had a house with big garage this proves me wrong. Luckily at least it’s 60’deep.

Thank you sir.

I guess twofootidus applies to boats and garages.

I think I'm just going to have to patient until something comes up with a 14' door.

My playcraft barely fit into my 8’ door with bimini down, Driver seat reclined and i would reversed the hitch so i could raise the front end and lower the back. Also, having a pretty level driveway was important. It worked, but way too stressful and i eventually remodel the garage to RV

24' sun tracker pontoon 8'10" tall, 8'6" wide and 34'4" long. I'm glad we went with the over sized height AND the over sized width since I don't have a straight shot backing it in.

Your trailer is 10' longer than your boat? any idea if that is super common on for pontoon/tritoons? I wonder if they make swings away necks for them.

Yes, it is but it depends on how you measure the boat. Sun tracker calls it a 24' boat because the deck is 24' 1" but the actual length of the boat overall is 26' 2" because of the setback for the engine. Once you add the engine, stairs on the front of the trailer, and trailer tongue (no swing away on mine) it takes up a lot of room.

I've noticed the front of the trailer is longer than my last traditional boat for more room between the boat and truck during sharp turns since the front of the boat is squared off, the stairs on the trailer make it less noticeable when looking at it.

I went back and checked the specs and the tritoon version of my boat is actually a few inches longer and a few inches taller than the pontoon version that I listed before.

The tritoon version is 9' 1" tall, 8' 6" wide, and 34' 6" long.

Sun tracker has the specs for each model on their website which might help for a general idea of "package size" for different size pontoons.

Here is the one for mine:

Thanks, this helps a lot.

The house we are looking at has a 30' deep RV height garage in the center and 2 standard size on both sides of that. I need to take a good look to see if its possible to extend it without getting crazy. It's a 1000 SF garage but built in the 90's before all these giant boats and rvs lol.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you I was working. I’d have to measure mine mine is a short pontoon 22 foot but I think it’s close to 30 feet long sitting on the trailer, I do not have a swing away tongue.

My tubes run right to the end of the bunks on trailer, it’s called a 25 but it measures just under 26’ (has some deck overhang aft of the tubes).
Other things relating to length of trailer or things to think about with 30’ garage... the outboard motor and the boarding steps on front of trailer make mine just under 35’ long.
You can definitely have a swing away tongue made to shave off a bit. But things could get tight.
