Keep your eye on it over the next few weeks. WordPress 6.4 is being pushed out and it's breaking a whole bunch of sites! 😱

Elementor and Oxygen are the two page builders being mainly affected, but as it rolls out even more, their could be other page builders affected.

I use Site Origin, and so far, everything is looking good.

Stupid WordPress. 🤬

I use Elementor
I havnt had any issues as of yet.🤞
Elementor has a banner on the dashboard asking for any issues so they can come up with a fix.

No surprise there. Elementor has been blasted with hacks this year.

They seem to be staying on top of it though. Make sure you keep your site updated!

We've been running 6.4 for a little bit with no issues. About to push 6.4.1 to my dev site to make sure it's good to go before I push it to production.

Yeah. 6.4.1 is supposed to be the fix for plugins not updating.

How is WordPress pushing out crap like this lately???

Seems to be the norm with anything anymore. I've had a band-aid in place for the last 9 weeks in our Citrix environment waiting on them to admit it is their issue and a patch to be released.

Give Site Origin a try. I can tell you their support is first class. I've been using them exclusively for 8 years or so?

I'll check that out. Thanks.

Shopify is Stupid expensive. You pay even if you don't sell anything, and if you do sell, you pay even more! Hard pass.

I get an alert on my update screen that suggest I backup the site prior to the Elementor update in many cases. I refrain from doing the update, that warning eventually disappears then I update.

You should do a backup prior to updating.
Just in case something goes wrong in the update

Beat me to it.

My client sites back up two days in a row and once weekly.

Good thing too...

The Glamis vet site went down cause of some donation plug in the client installed. 😱 That plugin went in the trash.

Restored from a back up overnight. We didn't loose anything.

*phew*

I use Siteground as the host, they auto backup all the sites daily. Great company if anyone is looking for a host. I broke away from Godaddy on everything about a year ago... They've really gone downhill.

The no-code world is kicking off. Instead of full templates it's essentially building blocks of components to piece together a site or even native apps now. Check out weweb.com or webflow.com

I'm one of the lead engineers at xano.com - a backend no-code to build out and scale APIs and databases. Its pretty amazing what you can accomplish these days with very little experience

I'm just glad that WP / WooCommerece is finally addressing their inefficient database structure. We currently have 775,000 orders in our Woo store and it is dog slow.
