Jello shots, need large scale recipe

so I am going to a charity event with 700 women in their 20s- and 30s.... I will be one of about 10 guys there.



anyways I said I would bring 2200 jello shots. yes, two thousand two hundred.


anyone have any good recipes that make them in bulk?

WOW, that is 70 to 1 odds.. I would just find a simple recipe and multiply it. Something that goes down smooth. Also Smart & Final has all the cups and lids you are gonna need.

I bought the cups from a resterant supply store, 2 oz for about $40 for 2500 of them, so I am good.

Are you planning on a full or a half full cup? And cheap or decent alcohol. I figure your going to need between 13 and 39 handles of alcohol depending on half or full cup, and alcohol to water mixture. 70 to 140 large 6oz packs of jello depending on half full or full cups.. I find them to be best with flavored vodkas or rums and a 1/3 alcohol to 2/3 water 50/50 will work there just a little harsh sometimes. I just made 200 Thursday for a Christmas party and they didn't last long.. good luck hope this helps a bit

I actually have a friend with a resterant that has allowed me access to his walk in.

Yellowboat... chill the alcohol in the freezer and only boil 1/2 the water required add the other half ice cold.. they should set in about 2 to 2-1/2 hours for 1/2 cup shots ...

Your best bet is to use Everclear. 151 or 190 (preferred) proof...which you can't buy in Cali. Order it in or have someone bring it back from AZ. It's as cheap or cheaper than most vodka's, and you'll use less since it's stronger. My recipe is to use 2/3 cup of 190 Everclear instead of 2/3 of the cold water. Follow the rest of the jello recipe normally. You should get 50 shots per big box (6oz I think) of jello mix. You should be able to make 4 batches per 750ml bottle of Everclear, so you'll need 11 bottles. Get at least one extra, just because. Use the 2oz souffle cups and fill about 1/2 way. Don't fill to the top...it's too much for a mouthful.

For every pair of hands (you or you and a friend, etc), you can make 150 (3 batches) per hour.
