Anybody ever stay there? Is it nice? The pics from the website make it look a little rough. We are planning a trip in April and Im trying to decide where to stay. My options are Casino, JT's or rent a house in the Keys. Anyone have some rentals in the keys they recommend.

Stayed there for new years. Def would not pay more then what I did per night on any other occasion. It's old but they have kept it up pretty ok. The rooms are not fabolous. Prob a step down from a holiday inn. Only 8 rooms is nice. Dock parking is also nice. I'd like to try staying there in the summer but something tells me it's way over priced (I have not inquired) and booked solid. Dave's next door neighbor rents there house out. Check VRBO.com also

We just stayed there over New Year's.
Took the whole place over, had almost every room :skull

The location is great, but the rooms are a bit rough.
Probably a step up from the Nautical's shithole rooms, but not great by any means. If you like nice hotel rooms, then you probably want to stay elsewhere.

Old school motel, clean, but not fancy, basically it's a great place to pass out and fall asleep, you aren't gonna be hanging around there anyway, it's the river. Plus your boat can be tied up less than 20 steps away from your room, right in the keys which is a major plus. And there is a 24 hour circle k right across the street for your late night snack needs

Thanks for the info, we r taking kids so we will have to spend some in the room for naps and early bed times. Sounds like a rental house might work better. Anyone have a recomendation on a nice place? There are tons of them on david plunketts site. But I didn't know if some here had one they prefer

We liked Bransons motel. It was old school, and they were just gutting all the rooms out for a make over after we left in October. They have lots of stuff for kids to do, with a huge playground. They also have docks, but you have to be careful how you tie up there.
