The only guy I new retired... I don't have an ONAN anymore, but they are great generators.

What's the code? You can google the blinks and decipher it.. In my limited experience, to little oil or too much oil causes a shit storm with those things..

If it's a gas one, Marquis or Marquis gold, two biggest offenders are carb and fuel pump. By experience, go with factory replacement, the eBay and Amazon ones don't seem to last very long. The diesel ones are pretty stout. Done one fuel pump, and a coolant reservoir on another.

Maybe try these guys, we have used him a few time while camping at Pirates and he has helped people out i our group. I believe he is based out of LHC.

Anyone ever run into this? I got 5 phone number’s yesterday for onan techs in Havasu. Each one said something different.

Weight of the oil makes a difference also, when it gets hot I ran straight 30 wt instead of 15-40 in my 4000.

Went out and fired my generator and it fired right up. It sat for 6 months lol. And I forgot to shut the gas off and let it drain the bowl too lucky
