Parker noob here.

After years of the casinos in Laughlin, we've rented a house in the keys for August. Currently there are 3 boats that want to go. The house has a 50 foot dock, which will park 2 of them, but the third needs to pull out everynight.

Question:

1) Where is the public/private launch in relation to the keys?

2) Is there parking for three trucks w/trailers in the community? I know one truck/trailer can stay at the house...but what about the others?

3) Besides the 3, there will likely be at least one other car. (House says it sleeps 10, so 10 are signed up!)

RD, I know you are the human Parker tour guide. Can you help me out? Unfortunately, Google has only lo-res images of the area so I can;t make out a launch ramp or parking space from a rooftop! The house is on Hopi Dr. if that helps.

Thanks :thumbsup

There is a dirt lot for parking boat trailers in the keys community. You will have to get some lot stickers / tags from the people you rented the house from and attach them to the tongue of the trailer when you put them in the lot. make sure you do that or they'll get towed. I'm sure all 3 trucks will fit at the house no problem. Make sure you put them inside the white line or you'll get a 25.00 ticket and quick like.

There's 2 launch ramp in the keys, but I'd recomend using the local public ramps.. You can pick your poison on that one. Most people head south, about 2 miles on Riverside drive (same road as Circle K and the entrance to the keys) and there will be a launch ramp on the right hand side. At either of these launch ramps you can leave vehicles, trailers, etc... if you have extra cars?

Lately I've been using the launch ramp up by the cop station more and more.. :) Just head north about 2 miles and it'll be on the left.. about 100' past the cop station.

launch ramp is right next to RB's place, on Riverside drive at the 4 way stop.

there's a dirt lot right across from there that you can also park in...Dennis can tell you more about that ;)

Would you mind PMing me the info on the house rental if it's open to the public. I'd like to rent a place in the keys, our friends own a place down there but I don't like to borrow. Thanks-Phil

The house number is 8768 Hopi. Anybody own a place or know someone up or down the street that would let me tie to their dock the weekend of Aug. 14-17? I would gladly pay a slip fee. :beer

I thought you said the house had a 50' dock?

Half the houses on Hopi are water front, the other half are not..

50' dock is already spoken for by a 27 ft and 21 ft boat.

I'm 23' and all that adds to more than 50!

I can probably help out with parking close by, and maybe even some dock space. I live there full time and we really don't use the dock or boats on the weekends.

You live in the keys full time?
