I am thinking about picking one of these up for my kids. Does anyone here have any first hand knowledge about them? I am not looking for a dune machine, just something with a cage that they can learn to ride in the small dunes with and cruise down the sand hwy on.

We have both the rzr and the rzr S.
We've checked out the 170.

We think it's a bit pricy, but a really nice machine.
Nice riding, and the safety stuff is pretty good, options are starting to appear, and some performance stuff is on it's way too.

Ya might try Tom Grant at AV/Palmdale Kawasaki-Polaris.
They have a few and should discount one for you.
You should be able to get at least $500 off in this market.

Call him and ask "if he'll deal on one, now that the season is breaking".
Those words worked for me on the S.

I'm going in there tomorrow, if you're serious I''ll lean on them for a good price if you want.

I am serious about one, but I dont want to be the test dummy for Polaris. I would like to know some 1st hand experiences from people who have them. I have seem too many people make mistakes and buying junk on new items and I dont want to go down that road. They look really cool and I think they will be great for what I am trying to accomplish with the kids. My biggest fear is getting stuck on flat ground or not having the HP to make it up the hill next to Comp on the sand hwy by Osborne Overlook. If it can do this and play in the little dunes behind the store, I will buy one tomorrow.

Thanks
