Gay is one thing. In PS however, gay is taken to a whole different level.
And how is that? Are they walking around in g- strings w/raging hardens? Boninn one another @ the bus stop while waiting on the bus?
I'm just messin w/ y'alls. I get it, the flamers and the overt male romancers are unpleasant to see. Butt, for the most part they're just peeps livin their life not harming anyone and its not like they're the only peeps out n about. There's plenty of hetros out there too, especially in the winter when all the gerry's show up from frost bite lands. He'll, if the mongols ain't skeeered, no reason anyone else should be. Haha

That is EXACTLY what they are doing!!! 😂

Why do you think Most people are so upset about the gay culture? Because they are just living their lives, minding there own business??? Nope!

My friend is gay, and he's told me about the street parties that go on. It's Fucking insane.

Look on PornHub.

I'd rather deal with the Mongols.

P. S. My gay friend, also has a house in Palm Springs. Go figure.

Kind of a funny story. About 15 years ago we needed a bigger dining room table for our growing family. Wife finds a nice set on IE craigslist. It's a mid-century, Dutch modern, teak set with a pretty cool folding table. So, we load up the pickup and head out.

The home we arrive at is a beautiful mid-century, landscaped beautifully. The gentleman who answers the door is dressed like some model type, and is as flamboyant as any TV character. He and his partner were selling this set very reasonably, as they had found it in a thrift store. Their "new" set, a Kem Webber streamline type, was bought because it "complimented" their lounge chairs in their den

Say what you will, some of them have style!

Some years ago, we were looking for a house, and checked out one near us, on American Lake. It had a long driveway, which paralleled the one next door. Two gay art collectors/dealers lived in the second house, and had a copy of the statue of David. It was a quality piece, made by a Japanese artist who actually got permission from the Italian government to cast something like 6 of them from the original. The funny thing was, as we entered the driveway, this thing was just the other side of a low fence left of our car, with the important parts just above eye level. It was a surprise, but truth is it’s a fabulous statue.

Replicas of Michelangelo's David - Wikipedia

On a side note, we were fortunate enough to see the original in Italy a few years later as well. David’s junk wasn’t cool as Mona Lisa’s eyes, but the Palm Springs crowd may disagree.

This is obviously a sore spot for you, so here's a story.

My wife and i got married in PS 21 years ago. At the reception it became apparent why we got such a good deal on the whole wedding package. Next door was one of the gay pride weekend party's going on. Our reception venue looked right down on it and the pool they were all "partying in". There were literally 8' tall penises walking around, and assless chaps walking down the street in front of the entrance to our gig... dudes in Thongs making out all around the pool. It was "entertaining" to say the least. It made it uncomfortable for a lot of people we had there.

We had kids at the wedding of course. Some of the parents were freaking out.

So to answer your question... YES, they were.

Don't misunderstand me, I have several gay friends, and I've even and had beers with a few from here (RDP), and they're great people. It's the Raging flaming whackfuck Trans he-she's nutjobs that I have no time or patience for.

Well, now I better understand your perspective and sorry you had your wedding effected by that unpleasant scenario.
I've just never understood why so many people allow a small group (although it seems to be growing unfortunately) upset them so much when for the most part they just want to live their lives as normal people aside from their sexual preference. The couples I know keep to themselves, are not flamboyant etc. Don't push their lifestyle on anyone and are good people and usually quite funny.
Oh, and no, not a sore spot. Just a different perspective.

Exact same situation for me, with the gay people I know.

You have to realize they they are not ALL that way, and yes, it's not a small group anymore.

PS is gay central in SoCal. West Hollywood ain't even close anymore.

We go out there to play golf several times a year. My neighbor has a condo we get to use. Sometimes I don't see any of that crowd at all. Depends on where you go. But unless you are there are some big weekend, it isn't overt or in your face.

In the early 90's, that was the norm. Certain places you knew weren't the same sports bars as others, but in general just another resort town.

Agree.. most are regular people

BUT... as far as PS goes..

You cant believe the amount of LGBTQABCDEF... propaganda here. It must be 50% of the commercials on TV and equally as much on Local news stations and radio. Drag Queen promotions and shows and pride events are as common as Air Conditioning company and fast food commercials anymore.

Just to be clear, a group of Mongols or a group of guys resplendent in rainbow attire?

Maybe not as much as you might think. My wife’s first husband was a Mongol, she left him because She found out that he was a cross dresser. He hid it well for a few years but eventually came out of the closest.
Btw he still rides with the club.
Bi(o)-fuel does blend better.😊
My wife has a nephew that is on the flamboyant side of it but not the intrusive, in-your-face type. He's had partners you'd not realize initially are gay as well. I had gay salemen on staff at my dealership that all did very well because of good personalities. Their community is also very loyal to those who treat them kindly.
Most I know do not share the same attitude that the attention whoring flamboyant flamers put out into society.

My wife being in the medical field for a few different facilities in her 40 year career has come upon quite a few gay male coworkers. Most have been pretty obvious but not in-your-face, look at me type. She liked most of them more than most of the catty ass bitches she's worked with.

Wife and I have always liked PS, Belmont Shore and Key West. We did not go to known gay clubs and establishments.

Husband & I like Palm Springs, the Thursday night street fair is good & we like some of the restaurants, I like several shops. Everything we want to do is within walking distance so we can drink & no driving ! 🍹 🍺

Be careful out there.

Are you in high school? Jeesus.
My neighbor is a Mongol, He probably makes more than most of the neighbors, He drives nice cars, and his crew comes up on Sundays and they ride. Usually they are respectful, wave, and are generally a polite bunch.

I came upon a Hells Angel reunion, Cortez Co 1986. We were there for my FIL‘s funeral. HA was everywhere, I remember going to a restaurant and there was at least 30 of them in full colors. No problems at all the entire weekend, they were polite and respectful, like someone mentioned they opened the door for my wife and I. Went to a dirt race that Saturday night, there were at least 100 of tthem hanging in one section it was uneventful night. Monday morning as we leaving town I had the local radio station on listening to local news. Their news broadcasts that Cortez had just had the HA for the weekend and there was no arrest or incidents.😎
