Coming back across the lake from the casino and boat feels sluggish so I mess with the trim and that's when I notice vibration but really only when there is significant load being put on the pump is best way I can describe this. Put the boat away and I'm trying to figure out the steps I need to take so I can get back on the water. Where do I start ? Pump is berk 12je-a

Kind of a dumb question but did you look up into the pump from the bottom through the grate to make sure you didn't suck something up and causing cavitation?

Did you stick your hand in the inspection port and feel around?

At first reading of this , like others said it sounds like you picked up something in the jet that would cause the issue you describe Its possible to have debris etc pass thru and be stuck on the exit side of the impeller (unseen thru the cleanout or intake). Its also not uncommon to have a problem like you described manifest and then have it "clear" or drop out when you shut it off getting back on the trailer leaving no trace of what took place . If the short driveline (ujoints) don't feel loose , I'd give thought to pulling the bowl for a quick look/see, Please feel free to call if you need help Tom
