I'm replacing my rub rail on my warlock 25ft sxt, from what I have been told the original style one is gone, can't get it. So I was thinking of doing a stainless insert style. Can a stainless insert style work on my front end? It has a ton of 90 bends on it

This is what I'm thinking

I'm trying to do the same thing on 23 SXT. I can't find the original anywhere and trying to figure out what to replace it with. It sucks because I only need about 3 feet.

IF you post a closer pic of the rubrail Shueman can probably get it for you. It looks like my rubrail and he quoted me $100 per 10 foot stick.

Have you guys tried Rex Marine? He bought the lot when (whatever that company's name is) went out of biz.

I installed a full stainless (not insert) rail on mine. I think it was 1.25" tall...maybe 1.5"...It looks great but will flatten out with all the tight bends at the corners. Not sure how it will look on the inside bends. Install is not too bad...think about whether or not you can through-bolt it or not, as well as how you existing RR is installed. The major PITA was trying to bend in two directions at once...that was a serious macgyver event.

One thing about SS is that it will not be forgiving at all.
Another thing about SS is that you only get one shot at the bends. Bend it wrong...throw that section away. :swear
One last thing about stainless is that because the sections are shorter (10') you really want to plan where all the seams are...I had to buy an extra section because of how the seams were going to lay out. that sucked too

I think I was paying around $65 per 10' section. Damn...doing the math...that sucked...but it looks cool...I have some better photos at home...will post later.

I did 1" full stainless on my last boat. It does not bend very easy from what I was told.....I am lucky that a serious pro (Dustin at Menace Marine) was doing mine. He was able to bend it around the corners and used silicone to help with the bends. It turned out bitchin and made the boat look 10 years newer.

If I had a cat, I would cap the front and back and then run full stainless (no insert) down the sides.

I purchased a "roll" (not sure how many feet) of similar rub-rail for my Warlock from Advantage, they had it in stock. It may not be completely identical to yours, but close enough that you can switch over to it and it will probably look the same if you did all of it. Its is just white plastic. I have lots of tight bends as well, I currently need to replace the section on the nose, between the sponsons, from pulling onto the trailer a bit to "hot" and bumping the bunks, which cracked a section.

I'd love to switch to a nice stainless rub rail, but im sure the cost ain't cheap

Next time I'm in Havasu I'll run by Advantage. That would be cool if I can get it in a roll. I wouldn't mind changing the whole rail out if it is able to bend a bit. I don't think there's anyway in hell to do the front between the sponsons with rigid.

Here is the SS RR that I used...If you look at the bow pic...you will see how it flattened a bit.
I wouldnt think that it would be imposible to do the area between the sponsons. You need to get creative with the seams in that area is all.

Adrenalin in Havasu changed mine from the black extruded aluminum with insert to SS last year. They were very reasonable.
