Where I boat, we have miles of river to just float. Many times at the end of our day, we like to diaper up and float back home and watch the sunset. Problem is, some folks float faster than others. After about 15 minutes of floating I have floaters 100 feet upriver and floaters 100 feet downriver. I need a way to keep em all corralled near the boat. I'm thinking of getting a good floating rope and tying some loops in them for handholds then tying to the boat.

Who/where make good quality floaters that will last and stay soft and pliable?

Home Depot or Lowes. 100 feet of decent quality braided nylon rope. Usually about $10. You can also get those noodle things and slit them down the center so they will help the rope float.

I've got about 75 feet of 3/8 braided nylon rope with a 12" section of noodle tied in the middle and a small boat bumper, maybe 14" long, tied to the end. I roll the line around the bumper and store it on the boat. I guess you could use a piece of noodle on the end as well.

Rex Marine carries Top Knot. I believe all Top Knot ropes float.. I get all my ropes custom made from Spanky's marine in parker. All of their ropes float as well.

I laid a huge floating rope this morning. Wish I knew you wanted one, I would have given it to you instead of flushing. Oh wait....you said seriously didn't you? :p

I like the Top knot ropes. We have some that are 5 or 6 years old. They still float and still nice and soft.
