Ya know,, the Polaris dealers are trying to get a $3ooo mark-up for the Rzr!
Some dopes are paying it.

Huge So Calif deliveries are starting to roll in to the dealers,, and I wouldn't pay the Vig if your'e in the rzr market.
They'll soon be drowning in them.

I've never paid a over sticker price, and sure as hell won't now.

They are teriffic little dune machines, and the MSRP is a reasonable, fair price.
I think we'd all enjoy them more knowing we didn't pay too much for them.

When we placed the order, I was blindsided that they wanted to sell me the extended warranty up front.
Usually that is negotiated at delivery time.

We were quoted almost double the listed price on the Polaris website.
They wanted $1245 for 48 months.
I offered $800 for 60 months, and they jumped on it.

The sales people make a big cut off the extended waranty, and those customers that are willing to buy it are placed at the top of the list in delivery.

Suddenly I went from number 2 on the list to number 3 probably because I didn't bite at the sucker price.
I think in this case the warranty is worth it,, especially for 60 months.

I don't think you be seeing any over abundance of RZR's any time soon,
they only recalled 330 of them and that was 2 months ago. I don't know if that slowed the production line but if it did it will only make the waiting list longer. Pretty sure they aren't increasing production.
I would say if anyone wants one they should shop around like TCP did and find a good price. No sense in waiting for one because your going to miss out on a lot of fun in the meantime.:D
BTW TCP I thought you were going get one from your dealer you normally do business with, what happened?

Suddenly when we arrived at Berts, they ran up the price.
The on-line / then phone us quote was a bait and switch:
Berts wanted the MSRP $10.200 ok, but when we arrived, they wanted $1500 shipping and $1500 set-up and $500 in other non-sense fees.
Wife brought to their attention we've done $100 K worth of business with them in the past 12 months,, and still the BS flowed.

They told us they'll be in short supply for the next 3 years.
Balony.
So we lumped it and left.
Everyone lies to you at Berts. We have plenty of horror stories.

OTD cycle wasn't taking orders, sold out, but they don't charge shipping or set-up and they were very honest and frank about it.. If OTD isn't charging it, no one should.

So we sniffed around and found the problem is the gas tank re-call has slowed production:
http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml08/08521.html

Alba is getting 15 due from second half of December, and 15 for the first half of January, 15 more for the second half.

We couldn't get a straight price outta them either. But they seemed shaky and nervous with the economy starting to tank.
The wife said just pay it,, but no-way, we'll only get a few trips outta it before it's river time again., not worth the $3K vig.

So a few calls, found a reliable dealer, and we're number 3 on their list that is plainly on the wall of the showroom.
They expect their December delivery soon, and their January delivery right after.
