Any of you mess with these?
YouTube is full of reviews across the riding terrain spectrum, and I notice they are mostly all good reviews.
I also note many of them say Smart sent them one or a pair for banshee guys too, so🤔

They are proud of them, on Lectron plus price point.

My problems with them is not enough tuning. Granted I havent touched one in 10yrs as i did not like not being able to fully tune the carb bottom to top(same with lectron). Also if the float sticks the internal venting would dump fuel into the crankcase and hydro lock and bend rods. Like I said though I havent even touched or looked at one for 10yrs so not sure if they have changed anything. They are compensating the bottom end tuning by lessening the width and the bottom of the ventury in turn shutting off the air at low rpm. These are just my experiences with them (they sent me a set years ago to test and I never bought any) but I'm not a big fan of lectrons either if it's not a drag application. Dont get me wrong being able to adjust the metering rod externally is cool. But that was the only thing I found to be "different" about them. You basically have one adjustment to tune the carb from idle to wide open so you never have a "perfect" tune.

This is just my opinion. I'm sure some have a different opinion🤷🏻‍♂️

I ran Lectrons on my last 3 bikes. KTM 300s and a YZ 250. Girlfriend has Smart Carb on her KTM Free Ride. I'm currently on a 300tbi bike so I'm out of that business. Switched to Lectrons years ago purely for the extra mileage per tank. There's a definite loss of low end and then just smooth power throughout rest of range. On my '17 KTM I could not tune a lean spot out just off idle no matter what rod I put in it. The '17 had a notoriously bad tune in ecm so I wasn't the only one. Covered it with octane. Now its just a habit to mix for a mathematical 95oct like KTM usually recommends. I ran those bikes from 1200ft el to 10K+el without changing anything but an idle adjustment. Going to feel the power loss at altitude no matter what system you have.
Anyway, a properly tuned Keihin carb is going to have better bottom end and butt dyno power throughout. Want a 2 stroke hit, jet for it. Not going to get it with a rod carb. Smoother feel.
If you want to tune for more in a certain area don't go with a metering rod carb.

So looks like I’ll skip the fancy Smart carb program. 😂

I’ve got 3 sets of carbs plus the PJ’s on it now.

Another set of 34 PJ’s, the stock 26 Miks and a set of 28PWK’s.

Going back to the PWK.
Interesting side note on these.
The PJ’s weigh 1lb 2oz

The stock Miks weigh 1lb 12oz

The PWK’s weigh 12.2oz

Kinda mind blowing.

Jetting should be fairly easy.
The PWKs were jetted for a 377 long rod deal. The current setup has slightly more displacement so it should be fairly close.
Main Jet and needle adjustment I’m thinking.
